Obvious request here.... take TONS of photos outside, inside, underneath whatever you can get away with before Security drags your ass away.

Couple of questions.

- Max charge rate.
- Elevation of the bed
.
- Out to Out on side mirrors
- Pictures on rear visibility from cab
- Bed liner material
- Location and operation of charge port.
- Front to back axle load balance.
- Are those matrix headlights?
- Permanent magnet motors? Some ones got to know.
- Is there a long range version coming?

Any info you can steal would be appreciated. ;)

A question I'm hoping is answered tonight is; Will the "Lightning" be a trim level of the "Electric" F150? Or is the electric F150 just plain called the Lightning and having different trims under that name... Like Lightning XL, XLT, Sport, Lariat, etc...

I personally would be a little disappointed if it's the later, because I feel that will not feel as special.

I seriously doubt that a software update will increase range. Range is going to be much more a function of hardware than software. I mean, they might find a minuscule savings in tuning the acceleration curves, or the regen curve, but it’s not going to be much more than a couple miles per charge, and most people would never notice it.

Tesla has managed to do it several times. The battery being used is not being used at full capacity, they can definitely increase range by unlocking more from the battery.

They can unlock more of the battery, sure, but it’s unlikely that they will unless there is an emergency. I have a Mach-E, and there is about 10% reserved as not useable to the customer. They do that intentionally because the batteries generate more heat operating and charging at the ends of their capacity.

Just give it time, a lot of it is engineers looking at the efficiency of the batteries and what not. I believe that eventually the range on the Mach-E will also increase. One thing I am glad is Ford gives out true range numbers and doesn't fluff them up for the press.

The most important thing here will be range and towing.

I'm not sure this will be fully ready for towing with decent range. The technology is not there yet. But if it can do ~ 300 miles with the bed fully loaded that will work for me for now.

I wonder if they can add the capability to mount a battery pack in a trailer and connect it to the system to recover range…
