Got a Ford Email! But it just "preapproves me" for financing to buy a vehicle that I can't even get

I got the same pre-approval email today too. Kinda strange that they can pre-approve me for 110k when my credit is locked at all agencies and I have not used or applied for credit in about 3 years.

Hopefully this letter is a sign that I'll be in next wave. I doubt it but maybe it is possible. I'm #6 at my dealer.

Also got the email— I figured it’s because I was playing with the v loan optt to ions yesterday. Also told by my dealer I’m #2. Also, my dealer expected their wave 1 allocation to be 3 vehicles… maybe this is wave 1b. But I doubt it— my bet is each of us were playing with the loan options and that triggered it. Guess we’ll see, right?

I don’t think that’s it, I’ll be paying cash and never looked at the loan options.

Mine is in the mid 50s, however I currently have a lease with FMC already. Remember though, this is just a dollar number and no VIN attached. So technically it means nothing.

I actually got a $2,000 PCO. Not good on the Lightning etc... but I have not seen those for awhile

Number #87 at my dealer (SoCal), day 1 reservation, received email. Never looked at financing either. Let's see.

I had called Ford customer service earlier in the month and they said based on timestamp, I *should* expect something by end of the month and that if I don't receive an invitation, I should call them back.

I got the finance email too....I am on the priority list but my dealer would tell me the number out of 25...hopefully its a sign...go Ford!!!

Also got the pre-approval email today. Dealer can't (or won't) tell me what my place in line is. All I can say is that I reserved it right when the presentation ended (didn't know you could reserve it sooner).

Just showed up in my mail box, US Mail.
The last one I got in 2019, I think was generated by calling Ford customer service and requesting info on different Ford models. Back then a $3,500 PCO showed up about three weeks later.

I got the email. I'm #62, not priority. Pretty sure it's the Credit Division not getting realistic input from Production. FYI, having credit locked doesn't necessarily affect pre-screen credit offers (PCO). You have to opt in and out of PCO at www.optoutprescreen.com. Lots of info there about what these are and aren't. I had opted out a few years ago but just turned it back on a couple of weeks ago after folks were seeing these offers on their reservation screen.

My offer was mid-50's also even though I have a 810 credit score. I have heard that they use a separate score for auto loans though. I haven't had a car loan in 20 years (pay cash) so I guess that's why mine isn't 100K.

Just received my pre-approval (70s) and came here to see if everyone’s already read the tea leaves and made predictions on the next batch of invitations.

Midmack, you actually going for a Lariat + ? Thats the one that makes the most sense between that and the xlt....can't believe the xlt + is 75k. Still wrestln with payment size on an 80k lariat too...dang. What are your thoughts on the lariat +?
