ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Got everything except 2 modules that I updated but keep coming back. Apim required a usb. Did that and it said it was up to date and was happy....Also got this weird lil popup saying passthru expire, etc.... Drove me nuts.

When I first ran the VX Manager I had it to update the VCX Nano firmware. During this update, the VCX Nano license got updated as well! When I checked it was good like for 10 years! Maybe that’s why I have never received a popup message like that

Lic was good till 2030 and it updated to 1.9.0 I think it was. I think the malware was blocking it till I added it to exclusions.

SSM says to ignore and a Dec 2021 update will correct it. Has anyone else had this code and been able to correct it? I’m worried that my GWM may not be at the most up to date.

Well dang, you ARE behind. But that doesn't mean you wouldn't eventually get caught up OTA.

It's your decision. Personally, the co$t is about as much as the dealership charges for a diagnostic fee.

If you’re concerned, run another network scan in FDRS. If no new software shows up, then you are as up to date as you can be. The ETA for another update in the SSM is not a cause for concern. Ford is not known for sticking to its estimates.

So, if your FDRS network scan looks fine, I’d take the advice in the SSM and not worry about it. DTCs after a module update are not uncommon and this one doesn’t appear to cause any performance issues.

Holy shit guys, I went to pull my truck out of the garage and did my ritual of checking if automatic updates were on, AND THEY WERE. I then rushed over to the Sync version and I HAVE DATA. @Jesse-Infotainment @iceman77 can one of you geniuses tell me what version of Sync I'm on?

have you been leaving your truck wifi turn on or off? Im still waiting for something to take off with mine. Nothing has worked. Did a master reset yesterday and reset Apim and GWM. No luck on OTA or USB.

I had left wifi in whatever state it sits after a master reset, but only because I was too lazy to hook it back up after the 12th master reset. I did have the USB drive in, which has been in for I think like 3 weeks now.
