No more Lightning ordering waves for MY2022 !

This is odd, call customer service to verify no offer was mailed.

Have you logged onto your Ford account to confirm an offer to build is still open?

It does not makes sense to think you are pre-staged for a wave-6, based on the wording in todays email, I would think ALL means ALL offers are out now.

Yeah, agreed that it doesn't make sense. Maybe these emails are being sent in waves too? ?

The online interface hasn't changed at all. Reservations page looks like this:

I think it’s understandable for people to be disappointed here. While it is not unexpected, a lot of day 1 reservations will go unfulfilled for a long time. Add to that “prioritization”, poor communication from dealers, etc and you have a portion of a customer base who isn’t thrilled with the end of the MY22 announcement right now.

It obviously isn’t ford corporate’s fault entirely. Dealer networks, supply chain issues, covid, and on and on were always going to make this a hard to get vehicle. There’s a wild amount of little pieces making this rollout more difficult.

But I get why people are disheartened and there’s nothing wrong with that. I also know I’m stating the obvious as my own form of coping. 5/19 8:30pm. 17th at my dealer.

Vent away folks.

It will be interesting to see what Ford does with pricing for MY 2023. For the Bronco, they locked in the first year pricing for reservation holders who did not order and I am hoping they do the same for the Lightning.

They might increase it a little, but they would be crazy to pull a Rivian with the price - I bet they learned a lot about that backlash.

It's just the Bronco thing all over again. You needed to reserve early, pick a dealer that had allocation, (not small-town dealers that promised great deals!) and cross your fingers and toes.

Reserved my F150 Lightning DURING the live unveiling, got today's email noting orders for model year 2022 have all been taken. Cancelled it, hope it frees a slot for someone.

Ordered a Lariat Powerboost 1/29/22, gonna wait for that instead

this is certainly hard and very enduring for all of us, EVEN those of us who actually DID get to order - even getting a site update that now my order is 'scheduled for production 5/30', while initially exciting, simply means that I have another 3 1/2 to 4 months to 'wait' to even receive it - patience is HARD!!!

I also think that while Ford wanted a hit on their hands, may NOT have realized what a hit they actually would have, and are processing what that 'means' for production, facilities to actually accomodate all these potential orders, and even all of the additional man power, or lack of it, that it will entail. Even the process of procuring the physical 'commodities' that is required to put together these trucks is lacking, or slow, or held up at the border, or held up on a ship, etc. It certainly ain't Ford's problem all on it's own. We live in an environment that is not the same as what we've ever experienced before. We are inpatient. We are annoyed. We have money to burn, and no where to spend it. Yes, it's enduring patience. : /
But, we WILL get thru it. Owning a new truck is not the end of the world. But, it gives us something to be 'excited' about in the mean time. I get it.

I gave up decades ago on the notion that life is fair. Could be something as simple as waiting for a table at a restaurant only to have a group walk in and get a table immediately or not getting a position you want because of nepotism. Hundreds of examples.

It usually evens out over time because karma is a bitch.

At least the MME will arrive in 5-6 months...

You may want to recheck that. You ordered a 2022 MME. 2023 ordering won't be open for months. 2022 Select and GTs can still be ordered.

I find myself frustrated being a reservation holder before the reveal was finished, and not realizing (at the time) that dealership choice would impact the order, but this gives me a chance to wait for a better/improved product. Not to mention, learning more about the product as it is, as opposed to speculation.

I'm disappointed, sure. But I'm hopeful the beta testing from 1st Gen electric will improve the 2nd Gen.

My tinfoil hat tells me they ended early because the conversion rate was going south and they didnt want to trickle out endless micro-waves of invitations just to get the last projected platinum sold. They also didnt want to start wave 6 with nothing but platinum left because it might just plain look bad.

I would have gladly have ordered one of those platinums.

Yea same boat here but we desperately needed a second car and was able to pick up a Model Y Performance 3 days after ordering. It will hold its value well till the Lightning comes in and makes the wait a little bit easier.
