How about when it shows modules as 'unknown'?

That is common. A lot of the nodes don’t have names, just designations like “F120.”

You can ignore that... The next release will have a lot more nodes mapped and descriptions.
My goal is to provide us with as many details as possible about our vehicles

Well, everything went well. Completed all the updates in FDRS over the course of ~3½ hours. Here's the order I went in and how the middle updated for people's reference.

GWM - USB
PCM - multiple modules - CAN
ABS - done w/PCM - CAN
SOBDMC - done w/PCM - CAN
BECM - done w/PCM - CAN
TRM - CAN
DSP - CAN
DCACA - CAN
DDM - CAN
PDM - CAN
SCCM - CAN
GSM - CAN
IPC - Engine on - USB (1st) & CAN (2nd)
APIM - Engine on - USB

The only update that wasn't in my list that I was expecting was for the IPMA. I'm going to check again later to see if it shows up.

So i've had Fordpass integration (itchannel) on my Home Assistant for about a year and a half. I Made a pretty cool Card awhile back for my HA dashboard and made sensors etc. Low and behold i started looking more into the Github and of course @tonesto7 has even been killing it over there too!

Your GSM updated? Most like myself, it goes through the process and completes but never disappears from the SW Updates tab...

Yeah, it updated, but that and the ABS module are still in the list. Is there a list of the latest software versions for the various modules? Just want to know that my IPMA is up to date.

Also, didn't post it previously, but no issues at all with Windows 11. I did pick up a USB hub after I was done. My Surface tablet only has one USB port, so I was switching back and forth between the USB drive and the adapter a couple times. It didn't seem to cause any problems though. I got the WiFi version of the VCX Nano, though I stayed connected via the USB cable when needed.

I do want to know how critical the voltage is though. When I was updating, the voltage stayed at 12-12.2V. When the ignition was turned on, it would jump up, but for the most part stayed at that level the entire time. I had the charger hooked up, and it was definitely working because it got warm. Using a NOCO Genius 5. The guide says not to do anything if it's under 12.5V, but I didn't have any issues.

I had a similar error that came up when I went to run the ABS update after it was already applied.

Yeah, it updated, but that and the ABS module are still in the list.

The GSM and ABS may have appeared to run to completion without throwing a visible installation error, but unless you saw it actually writing data blocks, it probably didn’t actually update. I was curious about this as well as well. Looking at the installation log for the ABS, although there were no installation failures, per se, the nodes all reported that the software was called but failed to install because it “could be optional.” This is a representative piece of a fairly lengthy installation log from my last attempt to install the ABS:

Software part: SBL: ML34-2D052-AA from GIVIS
Software part: F188: NL34-2D053-CA from GIVIS
Failed to get F120: null from GIVIS - Could be optional

So, if the GSM and ABS are still being offered, they probably didn’t install. But it isn’t a problem because FDRS probably checked the software when you ran the routine and determined that an update wasn’t necessary. Why the updates continue to be offered I don’t know.

It was working data blocks when the updates ran, and didn't say there were any errors. I tried to re-run the ABS update and then got an error, though I didn't screenshot what it was.

Got it to work! Had to have the door closed when I updated!

How long does it take for new software updates to show up? I have done everything and only show the ABS and GSM remaining. I have NEVER done a network scan so I am wondering how quickly the cloud will learn that I have completed the updates. Also, had to restart FDRS before competing my APIM update (which worked) so never got to tell it that I completed it. Thank to all for helping me get this all done!
