I think as a general rule you should ALWAYS update the GWM first, if an update is available. The GWM is basically just a router—it processes communications among networked modules within the truck and then communicates with Ford via the TCU (a fancy name for modem). I could see real problems developing if you update another networked module before you apply any available updates to the GWM because an older version of the GWM software might not have the newest list of module addresses. So, an out of date GWM might not know where to deliver the mail.

NOTICE: There seems to be a problem flashing the CCM module with the latest BC activation package. I have had 2 users already reporting a failure during the block erase process

Can anyone who has successfully completed the CCM module flash reach out to me and share their VIN ? Me and @Jesse-Infotainment are trying to figure out if right files are being flashed to your module or not. This could be another IPC like situation and we want to be aware of it

Just an update from my truck. IPMA generally has DTC come back after driving it. However it’s U2400 = Ethernet Failure With Gateway Module A (GWM) and I think Jesse Infortainment mentioned this would correct with future update. Everything else checks out as far as I can’t tell.
The only other issue that comes up is the power steering control module reporting offline briefly then coming back once I clear and rerun tests.

I did mine yesterday without issue and you should have my VIN also already.

This happens from time to time. The ethernet failure is not anything to worry about. It It happens after updates. Ive had it and they even had a note about it happening after a gateway update. If it came back it will clear itself after a while. The ethernet is only used for OTA updates and USB updates. If that is the only thing you are in good shape and enjoy the new cam features

Those that had success with the CCM, do you have a power boost?

The ones that failed, did you use a nano or Mongoose? Which version of FDRS? I think on the Mach e forum someone said the new FDRS version might have a cache issue, not sure if that matters or not, I am not computer savvy enough.

I was just asking iceman this same thing! These are fd can devices and the nano is not fd can compatible from what I’ve seen. There was a guy that had 4 devices on fd can go purple the dealer fixed it.. I’m sure they just ran a PMI and it worked. I’ll have to look at his vin..

If that was you can you send me you vin please so I can look
