198 PER module? Holy crap you can buy the adapter and a 2 day license for the cost of 2 modules at their price. Even if you got the Mongoose you would still be cheaper.
If I had an independent repair shop I would be charging something reasonable. Would make a lot of money and help a lot of people.

I tried that a couple of weeks ago and was told they would not update my truck unless I had a particular issue and then it would be only that module. I was pissed and disappointed. They said if I insisted on them to be updated they would charge 198 per update per module. So I am stuck on 2.1.1 Job 1 truck built as date 11/20.
Start a complaint and get a case number by calling Ford. They cannot deny you. The several times I went after that, I was never charged for a new apim or their efforts to try update the firmware. Your dealer is just being an ass.

My truck is 15 months old, still waiting on an email or anything at this point.
I have serious doubts that this truck will ever see

It's only a scam if you pay for it. It was an attempt by Ford to provide a service. It hasn't worked very well, but was well-intended, as many marketing programs are before execution provides reality, but it isn't a scam.

I did pay for BC harware on the agreement that it would be up and running in the 1st quarter of 21, here we are 15 months later and no BC!

I don't feel like it's a scam, because they are starting to roll it out to Job 1 trucks now. Now, if for some reason they realize it just doesn't work then and they don't refund the money then yes it's a scam.

Full disclosure I'm also one of the folks who paid for the prep kit

I hadn't seen that list. I'll take "Pet Mode" asap, please.
Looks like Ford is not kidding about matching Tesla with the Mach-E.
Hopefully the useful stuff (forget the games) lands on the F-150 Hybrid (presumably it's all destined for the Lightning.)
Someone needs to get Elon to Tweet "Hey Jim, why is the Iconic Mustang branded Mach E slower than a Model Y? What does the GT stand for, "Go Tesla!"

It's clearly a scam when you sell a truck and tell the public that BC would be released in the 1st Quarter.
When they knew no way that was true.
If they truly believed it, it would not be 15 months later and still not available for build 1's.

Hey Sonny, I totally get your frustration. I would be willing to kick in for a "group project" updating our trucks via FDRS once the BC fix is available. Any chance you are in the North Dallas burbs?

25 miles south of Ft Worth..
Thanks for the invite, appreciate it..
I'm in...

I am very frustrated, I think the worst thing about it is if you bought mid summer it's up and running..
I love that everyone that bought one then has it and it's working.
But for FORD to not put forth more effort to satisfy the early purchasers really p***** me off!!

Ford rep taking VIN #'s is questionable...
Took mine. Nothing came of it.
I would like to hear that someone got something resolved by giving up their VIN'S..
Maybe I just missed someone getting something resolved..
Please post here if you did..
