As others have said, Out of Spec is definitely the best video review thus far. The others are mostly information everyone who's spent a month on this forum already knows. Can't wait to see the Cannonball between this and the Rivian, @OutofSpecKyle!

If the Redline numbers are accurate i bet someone will be able to get it just under 4s under *perfect* conditions. It’s all clerical though, this is a truck not a sports car. It’s one of the fastest trucks ever either way, and there will be people out there driving these as fleet trucks. 😲

If Ford hasn't thought of it yet, there needs to be a way to "lock" some of the performance aspects of the truck. If I'm a fleet manager, I don't want employees roasting the tires and also don't want the liability of 4sec 0-60 times. Perhaps there's a way to limit power, top speed, etc. so employees don't abuse it.

Yes, I definitely hope they have a power restricted mode. If they don't, I expect they'll be forced by fleet customers to add one.

Redline Reviews 4.4 sec

To see the SR acceleration in action, go to the 34 minute mark.

In speaking with the engineers in San Antonio, they stated "0-60 will be close to the ER" and "it will be under 5 seconds."

Coming from Tesla, I'm not used to a company under promising and over delivering. It's a nice change to actually get what you are paying for!

I agree - With the long Canadian Winters, I sure as heck don't want the instant throttle response when I am driving on Ice for 4 months of the year.

@Administrator Out of spec just released their video, personally the one I've been waiting for.
Thanks for sharing. Out of Spec has the best video review by far.

I loved the comment in the video "I'm actually supposed to have the truck back to Ford now. But, umm they can come and take it from me. We are here doing research..."

In Buffalo, NY winter I change my Tesla from standard to chill driving mode. This brings the 0-60 down from 3.1 seconds to around 7 seconds, which could be a life saver accelerating on an icy road.

It will be interesting to see how much the 0-60 drops in normal mode, versus sport mode. I'd similarly like something in the 7ish second range for winter driving.

For that use..maybe a few selectable "off road" modes..maybe ruts/mud, snow mode, etc.?

Also I'd like to see a comfort/touring and/or eco mode. You could throw that on to get maximum range when cruising down the interstate on a road trip at the expense of brutal acceleration. (Maybe a motor disconnect to reduce drag?). IDK.

Exactly what I was thinking for my Albany, NY commute in the wintertime...

Snow/Ice and Eco modes are must adds from Ford if you ask me.

Does anyone go in to specifics on the XLT config?

Isn't that what the MyKey feature is for? Don't trust your employees? Give them the nanny key.
