I hope they aren't storing these for months at high states of charge, especially since ford advises against charging above 80% for daily use.

No, the 80% is for DC fast charging because charging slows after that.

For daily use Ford just recommends to use a number below 100%. They do recommend 50% for long term storage.

I think the highest milage new car I've ever gotten was in the 40's. Everything else has been a bit lower. The lowest I think was 4-5.

Wonder why the tires are inflated so much.

Tires are overinflated from the factory for storage and shipping purposes. It helps alleviate dead spots from just sitting for days on end and helps provide stability and reduce load shifting during transport. The dealer is supposed to set the correct pressure during PDI.

Yikes. Dealers have a PDI check list they are supposed to follow and clear before delivering a vehicle and setting the proper tire pressure is one of the items, but as evidenced on this and other forums, it is not always followed. "Buyer beware", I suppose.

So maybe a PDI check at the dealer? prep-boy plugged it in to make sure you have a full tank on delivery day!
I'd be high tailing to the dealer peeking through he service bay windows at midnight if this were my truck
