-Personal Preference, they made this vehicle way too big.
Hmmm, it is a full size truck, just like every crew cab F150. And that is what we ALL expected.

Why complain this? It is exactly the same size as ICE F150 right?

It's just like the gas F150s. Grill and wheels can be upgraded. As far as the price, go find ANY full size pickup with ventilated seats and a panoramic roof for under 70k. Your opinion means nothing. My 2 cents. Have a good weekend
So, you commented on my opinion just to tell me it means nothing? That doesn't make sense.

Are we gonna see more of "it's just too big" from folks looking for electric but have little or no experience with a truck?

Not ragging on the OP, just thinking out loud.

I see lots of folks with reservations for a Lightning and no experience with a full sized truck. It can be a bit intimidating for some folks, I would imagine.

I've owned a 1 ton dually before and had no trouble getting through drive throughs etc....but had many folks comment on how big it was

A lot of first time truck owners will be disappointed without giving it a chance.

But I understand, it’s not for everyone. Good luck OP, I’m sure your dealer was happy, probably offered you a free service coupon lol

Thanks for being honest and knowing the possible blowback. I’ve borrowed a truck twice in my life and can’t remember what it drove like, so it’s going to be completely new to me. I’m leaving from a Tesla model Y to the Lightning for an EV. I plan on using it like a truck and carrying trees, lumber, rocks, gravel and dirt. Also camping and even backing up my house electrical, during California brown outs. I’m hoping I love it when I first see it and drive it, like I did with my Tesla. To me there are no other options right now that can do what a Lightning can do. I just know it’s going to be so much different. By the way, I love my Bronco way more than my Tesla!

This is a good point. I had not driven a full size truck in a few years.

I probably shouldn't have added that as feedback as it seems that is the piece of information that people are keying into.

The deciding factor was how cheap it felt for a vehicle at that price range. The size wasn't a deal breaker, just not my preference.

Im curious to what exactly felt cheap compared to the Bronco, I’ve been in both and my 21 XLT felt more luxurious than my Neighbors First Edition.

I would imagine the Lariat would feel even more premium?

Not that I disagree with you as I have also been looking at what else I can purchase with my $80k

I LOVE my Bronco and the Lightning was very "meh". My original plan was to have the Bronco and Lightning...keep the Bronco as the toy and the Lightning as the daily. Frankly, I can't see choosing the Lightning over the Bronco to drive...it is just too much fun especially these days with the doors and top off.

It seems like you were in at Pro price, pushed to XLT ER, and then when you pushed to Lariat ER you had moved out of where you originally placed value. No shame in that, but I'd probably buy, try, and resell if keeping opinion. Good for your dealer though.

I have a Black Diamond, and a 2DR with the manual trans, so my price was less than $40K...so that colors my perspective. The FE is quite a bit more expensive than the BD. That said, the Lariat is more than double what I paid for the BD, and the value or enjoyment just didn't seem to be there for me.

Specificallly, the front end/grill, and the wheels...the are very underwhelming in real life. The photos don't seem to capture this well, IMO. It was a turn off before I even got in the truck.

This is probably true. I think the Pro is where the sweet spot is for this truck.

So you need a EV version of Bronco for about $40k.

$80k for Lariat ER is too much, but, do we have choice?

If I were you, I will definitely take delivery and get $7500 tax credit first. Then try to sell it, you might make money.

Any EV Bronco would be amazing. LOL

I think the Ranger platform/size will the sweet spot for an EV truck. When my 2.3 kicks it in 10-15 years, hopefully an EV (or equivilant) crate will be available to drop in the Bronco.

That is purely personal preference. Just look at the sale chart, now many F150 vs how many Ranger sold in past years.

This is personal preference for sure. I would not be in the market for a small EV truck. I want a full sized truck like the Lightning. An SUV would be a better option for me than a Ranger or Maverick sized truck. That's me..... 🤷‍♂️
