So I just received this email

8B63324F-9DB6-495F-AD17-25FFA57A1953.jpeg

What? What agreement and installation design? I haven’t seen anything at all
Same here - I was promised a response from their escalations team by today at latest. Nothing. I'm taking delivery of my ER Lariet on Friday. This really sucks.

Agree 100%. Mine truck has been shipped and when I called them on Wednesday and spoke to my rep via text she said I should have the documentation to sign within a day. Now it's Friday and she's not answering my texts.

When my truck arrives I plan on going to inspect it and record the mileage. I will not take delivery until my charger is installed.

Having Sunrun distribute the charger was a terrible mistake on Ford's part in my opinion. I would have happily increased my deposit to cover the cost of the charger to have it installed myself.

It's made what should be a pleasurable expirence into a a miserable one.

Bad move Ford.
Be careful. I believe that you have x number of days (maybe 10) to take delivery of a customer-ordered vehicle before the dealer is allowed to consider the order abandoned and sell it out from under you.

I found that out today. I’m going to take delivery so I don’t risk loosing it.

Call the Ford customer relations center (1800-392-3673) during business hours and tell them everything like you've posted. You've contacted SunRun, paid them, contacted them and they said they escalated it, and still nothing. And you are taking delivery Friday.

I can't guarantee anything will come of it but I can guarantee it won't hurt

Quick update, I still have not been contacted by SunRun but on my account there are now two documents uploaded. A design and a Ford Pro Charger agreement. I can see the design but not the Pro Charger agreement.

Called Ford and she said the parts department from you dealer might need to order the pro charger station...but they are out of stock with no ETA. This is going to be a SNAFU.

Update: So glad I didn't use SunRun, should change their name to RunAround.

I also called Ford this morning as I'm picking my truck up Friday and getting the same run around from Sunrun. The person on the phone told me the charge station pro is backordered with no ETA.

He also said as "compensation" they are giving an additional 250 kw on Electrify America.

Why aren't they just upfront about it so we don't have to go through all of these hoops?

I've contacted my electrician and he is going to pull a 100 amp circut and temporarily install a NEMA 14-50 plug so I can use the mobile charger. Anyone know if the ground needs to go up or down?

I am having solar installed this summer. Sunrun could have done it, but when their sales representative said that they could reroof the house (it needed it), they could do it at cost saving many thousands (their quote did not save thousands. It was more than the lowest and maybe 3k less than the high quote). They even said that there was extra savings by using the investment tax credit on the entire job (tax fraud). My accountant said no way. We are using a different company and upgrading our electrical service to 200amp from 100amp. The new panel will be in the garage and the old panel will become a sub panel. The EVSE will be located within a few feet of the new panel. It would be great to have the evse when the solar installation happens and ideally Ford would supply them directly. Let us pay for them and allow a refund with to he purchase of the truck and return of unit provided at that time. To have sunrun hold these devices hostage for sunrun customers is a bad move by Ford. It they are sent out within 5 days of purchase... maybe ok, but that is not the impression that we the customers/future customers are getting. Ford should do something to get ahead of this and make sure their customers get taken care of properly.
sunRun updated their quote to me;
From $9,400 for the whole HIS installation
To
Free?

if I install 9 solar panels on my roof, which they then say allows them to eliminate the cost of the HIS altogether.
I would pay $35 a month for the lease arrangement of their panels on my roof,
But my electric bill would go down by more than $35,
So it’s essentially “free”.

it sounds too good to be true, but if it is,
It’s sounds like an offer I can’t refuse.

anyone have experience with leased solar systems?

it would be great to get the full soup to nuts potential of the truck with the whole HIS system,
And suddenly it went from a $9,400 proposition to
FREE !?

love to hear anyone’s opinion on this offer. They said “this is the way Ford intended this to work”. Integration with solar, and HIS cost goes away.

Get the complete proposal in writing and read it carefully.
