With the wide variation in shipping estimates I wonder if the shorter ones are planned as full road transport and longer are rail+road. That's the only way I can make sense of the estimates. I'd imagine most places that they'd truck the vehicles are 3 day max transit whereas with the rail transport the timing is slower and they are more likely to end up in a random rail yard waiting for another train to link up to. I don't know, idle speculation.
Good theory. My estimated delivery date is the 23rd - 29th. I am fortunate enough to have FordPass activated, so I tracked the vehicle and know where its at and its been sitting there since, waiting to get on a railcar. No moment or anything for several days.

I have a 7/16-7/22 estimate (north of Boston) and a United Road load number but i have no idea if i can get anything useful from that info. I did get an activation denied message this morning FWIW.

Register on the page you see your load # (you have to squish the frames real thin to have it appear), registration will fail a bunch of times but keep hammering it - it'll work eventually. Login, and search by that # and you'll see more details....not much, but some!

Register your email address, anytime a vehicle lands at your dealership you will get an email, watch the junk/spam, the ones I have gotten so far land there, click the link, review the manifest if your VIN is on it, your truck is at the dealership awaiting PDI.

if we show up on united road tracking but status still inactive at end rail location (BNSF richmond, ca), is the consensus that it means it's on a train train already, traveling, or doesn't mean a thing?

The web page is not well designed, yes on a mobile it renders OK, but on desktop/laptop a viewer needs to make the browser windowed, then narrow the window width enough to force line wrapping of the elements, then you will see the email subscription fields.

It is a very minor point since I knew my rail car yesterday and had confirmed shipment, however I did receive my shipped email this morning. So it followed by a couple of days.

That was actually more helpful than i thought. I can see my VIN but it shows inactive (i assume that means it hasn’t shipped). They are picking the truck up at the CSX yard in Spencer, MA.
I can also see that my dealer has a Lightning waiting to be picked up at the rail yard right now. Not mine, obviously. I searched for the window sticker but couldn’t pull it up. VIN 1FTVW1EL6NWG00281.

No update or changes today for me, but on my way back from picking up lunch, I saw these 2 Expedition’s headed back to the factory from on of the holding lots not far from me. One said no keys, so I assume that’s why they had to flatbed them.
