really sorry to hear it was such a blunder for you.

I had a totally different experience.

Their customer service was amazing.
Easy to speak to a rep. easy back and forth with paperwork.
And No 50 minutes of wait time like DCU,etc.

They even sent by snail mail a handwritten “thank you” card - that totally surprised me - don’t see much of that these days.

1.74% of course was the hook, but the customer service from start to finish was impeccable.

Maybe I got lucky, who knows….
But based on my experience, I’d recommend them without hesitation.
Glad you had a good experience with them. I think my issue is that the loan officer they have assigned to me is completely clueless. Also each time I call their general customer service, it takes several hours to get someone on the line. They have asked for way too many documents to open a simple account and apply for the loan. I haven't completley pulled back yet, I have gone way too far with them and their rate is still the best, so I still have to see. One of my biggest concerns was, that they are some sort of scammer bank, but apparently they are not. They are just very unprofessional, at least with me.

That’s great to hear. I’m approved and they are holding the rate until truck is delivered. So far my experience has been excellent as well. Very nice rep
Good to hear.
I was amazed at how personal the service was, the rate was amazing, and they are incredibly flexible too - glad they are holding that rate for you. Enjoy the truck!

I hope things work out for you.

The savings are significant on a truck this expensive, if you can secure exceptional financing terms such as CAFCU offers here.

They are certainly legitimate, with bricks and mortar branches to walk into, near me anyways.

Like I said, my experience was phenomenal -

I hope yours turns around.
& enjoy the truck!

Maybe someone here with a good experience can PM you the contact for their rep at the CU.

I had a good experience with CAFCU as well.
Signed up before the 6/10 promo ended and got 60 months @1.74% (down payment of at least 20% needed to get that best rate, otherwise it would have been 0.25% more).

Initial loan approval was done in about a day, back when I applied in June.

When at the dealer, sent the remaining docs - signed bill of sale, windowsticker, etc.
Next day, CAFCU completed the final loan approval and overnight Fedex'ed a check to the dealer. Which the dealer received in the morning.
