I think they were confused because the 360 camera was included as part of the Tow Tech package on the Pros. It is standard on all other trims.

The scales are a part of a primary trim level for the Lightning, but that does not mean there aren't DELETION codes which could have been input during a post submission order adjustment (color, minor features, tires, etc). I hope they can straighten it out before BUILD DAY

I did remove AT tires on 5/13. I have no response from my Ford dealer yet - if I don't hear soon I will give them a call.

I have a signed (paper) order reflecting pricing without the $650 discount for the removed option - is this even something the dealer can talk to me about, or should I be calling Ford directly?

You need to get your dealer to pass this up to your regional manager. There's no one you can call that can do anything for you. Ford customer service and Ford marketing don't have any power to do anything for you.

And I wouldn't just email them, I would show up right in the sales managers office to figure out what is happening and fix it.

I ordered Lariat SR w/o any tow package. no mention of scales at all on my window sticker.

Although the scales sound sweet for weighing how much weight in materials I have stacked up in the bed, I never tow anything so adding on a tow package didn't feel worth it.

If I recall you had a VIN with the AT tires, had the dealer change the order from the AT tires to the AS tires and that generated a new VIN (all the same numbers except starts with a 1FT6 now instead of a 1FTV.

I suspect that change must have triggered something weird in the order banks. Definitely have your dealer check with their Ford rep.

If it doesn't get fixed then you'll have a 1 of 1 on a Marti report for Mecum auction in 2042.

The weird thing though is the order I signed at the dealer on July 5 reflected the price as if it had all options / the way it should be, so it seems any change that happened was between July 5 and July 19.

No, the SR requires you select the Tow Tech package for an additional 1395.

As well in the lower trims (PRO & XLT) it's optional at different prices regardless of battery sizes (XLT-SR/ER)

We have been wondering what this third build week configuration is, I think we finally found out.

Mahwah Ford has been trying to figure out what the deal is - they've called their hotline and so far haven't been able to get any additional information other than that's how it is.

The sales rep did say with other vehicles they've given a credit for features missing chips and then installed them later when the chips arrived, so there's speculation that they may be able to retrofit later - a $650 credit for a delayed feature seems more generous than I would expect (he said the Explorer rear seat heating controls were a $50 credit), but admittedly I have no experience in this realm.
