Chargers are a dime a dozen online - paying $500 for Ford's is just another option. I just bought a 30amp adjustable EVSE for only 1/2 that.

I need an 80 amp charger without paying $1250 to sunrun... any recommendations?

Looks more like a 10k price increase at the Lariat level.

I built my same exact truck that I took delivery of last month, and it now tops 90k!

(Versus the 80k I just paid ).

If I didn’t already have one, this price jump would knock me out. Can’t justify 90k for the Lariat ER w/ max tow package.

Looks like all those selling on Cars and Bids are not so ridiculous over 90k after all….

I was trying to develop an evaluation of how much of the price increase could be attributed to battery costs. I was evaluating the ER Battery pack price increase to come up with the number.

The difference between the XLT ER and the Lariat ER is completely whacked. (It was wacky for 2022 but is even more wacky now).

- The XLT ER Battery Pack (no other options) was $10,000 and is now $12,500. So that is a 25% increase for the battery only.

- The XLT ER Battery plus the 511A trim package (all bundled together) was $10,000 and is now $10,850 (an 8.5% price increase for the battery plus all of the goodies you get with the 511A package) Assuming the $850 increase is all on the battery.

Using the XLT ER battery increase and allocating that out to a SR battery:
$2500 for 33KWh of battery = an increase of $75.76 per KWh. That would mean the price increase just for the SR battery would be $7,424

Using the Lariat ER battery increase and allocating that out to a SR battery:
$850 for 33KWh of battery = an increase of $25.76 per KWh. That would mean the price increase just for the SR battery would be $2,524

Here's my rough math.

Mach-e ER was going to see a price increase of $5000.

91kwh - 70kwh = 21 kwh

$5000 ÷ 21kwh = $238.10 per kwh

F150 ER 131kwh - SR 98kwh = 33kwh

33kwh × $238.10 per kwh = $7857.14

$7857

There is a rough estimate of what can be attributed to the battery for an ER truck.

Well if you don't already have 80amp wire running to your location of charging station I am sure you are going to spend a lot more. If your breaker box can even handle adding 80amps you could spend that much on just wire alone.

Not a lot of options for 80amp charging stations. I don't think you will beat that price till more come on the market. But I only searched for a few minutes. 50amp is great for me. Only time it's not enough if I travel more than 200 miles and need it charged 100% in less than 10 hours.

I just got a quote today for 60amp installation to the garage at $1,500.

Electrician will be providing me a 2nd option for 80amp, but material costs will be much higher, so he suggests settling for 60amp and save the money.

Plus he said 80amp won’t add value to the house versus 60 amp because only a Ford could even make use of the 80amp.

He thinks 60amps will be enough to still get a more than decent charge time, without going all the way to 80amp that might save 3 hours of charging time.

If you have an ER battery, didn't you get the included 80A FCSP shipped to you after you got the truck?

BTW, if you already have wired a 100A circuit for 80A charging, Clipper Creek has a rock solid 64A Residential EVSE for $1066. Once you get above 48A, there isn't a lot of selection.

Bumfuck USA is all over. Currently in NY and have to drive half an hour to any kind of civilization and that's a Walmart - I am Bumfuck USA.

I had to laugh at this. People think of NYS as being this metropolis and there are parts of upstate that are really, really backcountry (with lots of snow).

As a former Gov once said(not gonna mention his name)-- We got counties in NY with more cows than people

80 amps for the standard range is overkill. You're capped at 48 amps.
