Anyone know if they sell the Tire Protection Package? I don't see it on their site.. too many bad experiences on road trips to know that i should get it.

Also, my dealer tried hard for about two minutes. I told him to give it up after the first 30 seconds but that boy kept trying. He said he had the best price in town and the lowest he can go.. TRIPLE the price of Granger lol. I know these guys have make money for a living, but we live in the age of the internet...yet you still lie through your teeth as if customers don't do their due diligence. I'd have paid a little more than Granger if he only gave a bit just to support the local community, but i'm not gonna get robbed! Cheers to all of us that know better :)

I reached out to Granger Ford today to get a quote...they got back to me quickly, THANK YOU!

Still have a few weeks before delivery but was wondering if anyone took the Key Service, Interior/Exterior Lighting or 1st day rental and why?

Here is my thinking:
1st day rental is probably worth it to make sure you ALWAYS have a vehicle.
Interior / Exterior Lighting MIGHT be worth it depending on what is / is not covered.
Key Services are likely not worth unless you lose/break your key. I'm hoping to use my phone eventually anyway!

Would love to hear what others have done.

I would say grab it. It's like $50 addon.

I've lost keys before ("lost" as in pretty sure my Toddler threw them away).

A replacement key is ~$300-400. That was the cost to place my Egolf key. Maybe fords are cheaper.

I don’t do first day rental because I have a third vehicle and my dealer doesn’t have loaners/rentals are a few towns away. Having first day rental if you take the truck on trips is a good idea so you’re not stuck in a foreign city without a vehicle. First day rental applies for any warranty repairs of any kind as soon as you buy the coverage.

Lighting coverage is always a good idea. If an LED headlight or taillight goes bad they aren’t covered and are very expensive. 100% buy this coverage.

Key services are something I do buy, but may not be necessary if you are proactive. I already ordered a third key for my Pro ($66) and will program it the day I get the truck. If you have two programmed keys you can program a third or fourth, but if you only have one the dealer has to program another at a cost of $300-400. Even though I have another spare key I still buy this coverage in case I lose or break a key out of town.

I got the Key & Lighting coverage, skipped the first day rental, for all the reasons well stated above my post.

I was wondering the break even number of claims for various deductible levels. Here is what I found for my specific quotes (Yours may be different)

Break even for $200 deductible vs. $100 deductible was 2 claims
Break even for $100 deductible vs. $50 deductible was 4-5 claims
Break even for $50 deductible vs. $0 deductible was 8-9 claims

I'm sure it is manufacturer dependent but what is a reasonable number of expected claims?

I would think it's very possible to have 2 claims but a lot less likely to have 4+ claims unless you really have a car with issues.

I'm thinking the $100 deductible is really the sweet spot but want to hear other people's thoughts!

Same here. So much cheaper than my dealer. They quoted more than double what Granger is pricing it at.

Do you just order this at the parts counter?

The person I am emailing with on the Granger side is not very helpful …

Does anyone have a screen grab of the pricing matrix? Where was the sweet spot of price to miles/year coverage at the premium care level.

I recall 5 years / 60 k miles being something like $700, followed by a hefty jump in price for anything longer.
