I got my approval today. My application was approved for the full $7500 and to expect a check with 90 days. Woo!

Got my approval, too. Pretty wild I got close to what I paid for trade in value on my 2019 Platinum F150, will get $7,500 state and $7,500 federal rebates. I’ve already saved $250 in gas as well with free charging. Net cost to upgrade with all fees is about $15k and will easily make that up in residual/resale value and fuel savings over the next 5 years.

Yup! I never imagined an $80k truck would be a “good deal” but i think those of us who were able to get a 22MY and utilize both tax programs will probably be pretty close to coming out ahead.

I won’t save money on fueling since i was already driving a more efficient EV but compared to a truck, obviously that’s a big savings. I wouldn’t have bought a truck if i had to buy an ICE truck so the math is a bit fuzzy on the savings but i’m pretty happy coming out of this deal with a full sized truck for $70k invested and little to no fueling cost (free charging at work!).

Apologies if this was mentioned previously on this thread (I looked a bit and didn't see it). There's an interesting line on the More-EV Trucks site https://mor-ev.org/mor-ev-trucks

I've been on the site before but don't remember seeing this. It's possible they added it recently:

" Increased funding is available if the vehicle is registered in, or will operate more than 50% of the time within, a designated environmental justice community census block. An additional 10% may be added to the currently available incentive value."

Seems like if you live or travel a lot to work in the Boston area, Worcester or Springfield area you might have a case for an extra 10%. I live close to, but not in the Springfield, Chicopee, West Springfield area and do most of my driving around there. I also work in a "designated community" so I'll definitely be making my case for the extra 10%. Worth a shot!

Just thought I'd point that out, in case it affects anyone else.

Nice find regarding the MAP, I have seen mention of special zones, but assumed my suburban town was excluded, surprised to see the small section of our town are in the zone, including my neighborhood [green zone 25%].

I happen to not live in one of those special zones, but this is roughly a 20 mile circle around where I live. I'll be trying to apply for that extra 10%... where I work, shop, dine out, etc and where the truck will be used much more than 50% of the time all qualify.

@TaxmanHog it was you that tagged me and some other users months ago about switching from A/T to all season tires when window stickers first came out w/ the 8550#GVWR (and I was able to, so THANK YOU again!).

If getting the word out about this map helps some other members get any additional $, I'll feel like I did at least a small part in paying the Lightning community back.

Here's the map legend. If your trucks registered at your home, you should be eligible for an additional 10% on top of the $7500 so that's cool.

Reminder to Massachusetts residents, consider the Mass Mor-EV-Truck credit of $7500 in your decision on what 2023 truck to build, the Lariat-ER and Platinum with all season tires will qualify, but standard range battery trucks which many are considering will not qualify for the state credit, and those with the extended range battery adding all terrain tires will ruin your qualification as well.

@djpegg65 Welcome to the order bank for a 2023 Lightning, make sure to check out the MOR-EV Trucks | MOR-EV rebate, your truck should qualify assuming you have the stock all season tires on your build, if not consider making the change from AT to AS tires, it's worth a lot of money!!

OK so on 8/29 I got this email, since then, nothing. I now own the truck and have all the required paperwork scanned in. To those that have gone through the process do you recommend calling them, emailing, both? I'd like to get the ball rolling on this. Thank you.

I am in the same boat. Got that email on 9/10 and then haven't heard anything. I sent a reply last night to [email protected] just checking in and seeing if I could get an application.
