Plug and charge works great for me at EA on my Lightning. It's activated and managed via the FordPass app. And includes the same 30% discount as Pass+ as far as I can tell, but for free instead of $4 per month.
Are you sure you get the discounted rate? Ford tried a pilot program (cost was $50 per year) that was supposed to get us the discount, but they pulled it after failing to make it work properly. It would be great if they got it figured out, even better if there’s no membership fee.

Mine shows up in the updated app, too. It still won't accept the VIN. Did you get past that step?
My VIN was in the app from before so it just showed up what a app update.

Just got mine to work as well. Excited for this since I usually charge at an EVgo up the street.

To get the true Autocharge+ feature, I had to first tell the app that I am charging at an EVgo and then plugged in.

Ancient slow 50kW charger at a nearby Walmart with a 60 minute limit!

Confirmed now I have plug and charge ability:

So no pushing buttons in the charge station like EA?

Nope, only on the app. I've got mine registered and have used it a few times now.

Anyone want to tell me what wrong with this picture? I have yet to get any of the ones I've tried to go above 50kW during charge. Not happy.

So it’s necessary to use the app to use AutoCharge+?
That's not “Plug & Charge”. Or am I misunderstanding something?

actually, FORD PASS APP already provides a 'Plug N Charge' capability for CHARGEPOINT and EVGO(Chargepoint's own app already includes EV GO)... you 'Activate' the station thru the Ford Pass App, then just plug n charge. You can even activate it BEFORE you arrive...

That’s not plug n charge. You still have to activate it in the app.

Plug n charge is when you pull up, plug in and it starts charging without any further interaction. No app required.

EV Go's Autocharge + for the very first time will need manual activation - open app, select charger, plug in.

Once it's done the first time, it will now "remember" your vehicle and you can pull up, plug her in, and charges automatically.

I have done this very convenient feature since then....

OTOH, I wonder when EA will fix their recently upgraded software to again recognize my truck by plugging her in - does not do it anymore.
