Trade in question

Well, the Lightning has landed at my dealer and I’m now looking at what I can get for my trade in a 2011 Lexus RX 350. I have a price for CarGurus but it is significantly higher than from Carvana and will see what the dealer offers tomorrow. Has anyone work with CarGurus? If so, can you trust the quoted price? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I ended up going with Algo(Autolenders.com), they offered me the most and they will still make almost 5k themselves if they flip it quickly. They are picking up my Kia Forte tomorrow around 10am, I did everything remotely, I'll let you know how it goes. Other places offered me 14k/15k, I'm getting 16.5k from Algo. It looks like you could actually bring it to their showroom in Voorhees, NJ which should be close to you.

I would definitely check out The Car Shop in Mount Holly. They ended up with the highest offer of all the places mentioned.

I got my truck from Miller Ford and they matched the Car Shop offer.

if you have a carlotz dealer by you, definately try them. they gave me 24K when dealer was offering 17K and all other online places were between 19-21K. Our uncle went to the same place and got 33K for his Colorado he bought off lease for 26K and Carmax offered 30k. This was early August so i don't know how much the prices have changed but just do the free online price and print it out, take it in and its good.

Algo just pickup up my Kia, check in-hand for agreed upon amount. The hardest part was accommodating the large trailer they used for the pickup, but I just met the guy at an empty lot in town and walked back.

Probably why they matched it, was the asking price I had on CarGurus with no takers for 4 weeks. I ain't complaining.

Thanks everyone for your reply. I ended up trading in an to the dealer who is very good and very honest. I can’t say enough about Winner Ford in Cherry Hill NJ.
