Active Air Dam System Fault

I've had My Lightning for thee weeks. Has any body else seen this error. It says to see Owners manual. Did a search any didn't get anything...

Yes I get this error when it’s 30ish or lower in temperature. I’m going to have my dealer look at it.

Did you hear back from the dealer? I’m curious what is causing this fault. I’ve seen it 10-15 times in about 800 mi of driving.

Any update? I have an appointment tomorrow and am worried it's going to sit there half a day and then when they finally look at it they will not be able to duplicate it and I've wasted a day without the truck

No sorry. My entire family got the flu except me so I had to reschedule for this coming Wednesday

I got it about 5 times over 7 days. Took it to the dealer and they confirmed the error message, but could not replicate a problem or find any issues with the hardware. The cleared the error and one week later, it hasn’t happened again.

My dealer told me today they need to replace the motor as it got covered with slush and turned into a big ice brick. The service team member even commented that they have no idea why they don’t make a cover for these motors for this exact reason. They are going to replace it under warranty, except for the fact that they are back ordered with no ETA. Oh well.

On a positive note they are going to fix the clicking on all four axles when they get the parts in for the TSB. So that’s a win.

Got this error today... 2500mi. But I'm in socal, happened at 40 mph driving to the freeway in 70 degree weather (sorry rest of the country).

When I parked 15 min later, it opened and closed a few times, finally deciding to stay closed.

Maybe its a feature??

I started getting the Air Dam fault on mine in the last few days. It gave the warning several times during extended drives in below freezing temps. Ice build up is not an issue in my case. After the holidays I'll get it in the shop and take a look. I'm not too concerned at this point.

The threshold for the fault was set waaaay too sensitive and is causing all these notifications of an issue when there isn't one. There will be an update coming to address these essentially nuisance messages

And to think that my
Dealership wanted me to Pay to replace the whole system as that was the only way to get rid of the fault message! Glad I passed on that one.
