Is the insulation behind the back seat the same in the Lightning as it is in the ICE for 2021/2022? Have you confirmed that your new stealth behind the seat box will fit in the Lightning without modification to the trucks back wall insulation?

You're welcome. The back wall insulation has to be cut to fit the enclosure except on the SuperCab trucks where the seat does not move into the rear wall. We tested the sound difference and with our enclosure, it acts as a noise barrier, so it works out.

Regarding fitment, we need a customer to test fit or bring us their Lightning to check. From everything that we know and see, it is the same regarding layout.

So I picked up my truck today after having the sound components installed. Bellow is a list of everything.

Initial thoughts are that the Nav TV is prob the way to go over theJL fix 86. When I picked it up the front components were painfully loud in comparison to everything else. I went back and forth between center Chanel (stock) connected or not. Ultimately, I went with the center speaker connected. I was able to tweak the settings on the amp and crossovers and get the soundstage nice and full and balanced. The reason I think the nav tv is probably better is there are still sub frequencies missing. The fix is able to flatten everything out, but it can’t flatten what isn’t there. I had the same subs and amp with the JL fix in another truck just a few weeks ago, so listening to the same songs I'm able to tell the frequencies aren’t there. Before I scrap the JL fix and put in the nav tv I and going to mess with the JL EQ and see if that helps. Ultimately, the stock B&O amp has some really unfortunate DSP effects and the only way to get a full even sound (it seems) is to remove it from the equation completely.

Ill report back after messing with the EQ.

P.S. the JL fix is able to be calibrated at any volume level and I suspect that the shop calibrated it a higher volume where the stock amp is limiting frequencies more. So if it was originally calibrated at 25 calibrating at 15 may find some of those lost frequencies.

Ok here we go. Just started tonight running some 4ga. See some picks. Drivers side down into frame. Then pop out under drivers feet into the grommet.

stay in between brake Resivour and coolant resivour to avoid steering yoke.
I double techflexed the 2 runs .

Already a great idea - I've got to go back and document mine. I already was thinking about a reroute and I was curious how you had access in there, I didn't think to even take the cowling off on the drives side for easier routing in that area. I will likely work on mine a bit and add some documentation.

Here are some more pictures. Running 2 runs of 4 GA is really thick coming up under that carpet. I managed to get everything back but it is tight.
That other small cable is a 2 conductor 16 ga for the led emblem. Running that as a test, as the fuse box hook up messes with the radio reception.

Man, the f150 lightning 8 speaker setup is prob one of the best Ive heard in a vehicle. What music do you guys listen to requiring a setup upgrade?

I listen to mostly hip hop, but seriously thought “let’s see if I just listen to different music am I happy with this system.” I tried jam bands, folk music, 90s rock. It’s all missing something.

I think about songs I’ve heard on the radio and thought the lyrics said one thing and then I listen to the same song on a proper stereo system and can clearly hear the correct words. That’s part of the difference.

Also, think about all the songs people love and sing incorrectly. Thats due to crappy sound systems.

I'd almost have to ask what you've listened to previously that you are comparing to? Find someone in your area that has upgraded and listen to some good music you'll hear things you've never heard before.

I will say - is it worth it to many? Llikely not, and that is OK, but listen to a good sound system and you'll then question why this system is so weak for what you are paying.

I'm from the age of left right stereo, not everything coming from the center of the dash. IMO the 8 speaker is so center heavy. Lacks and sub bass. and frankly is not loud at max volume.

That being said, my ears may be suspect as in my teens and 20's I drove around with 4 12"'s in the trunk and a Punch 200.
