Truck dropped last night at the dealer. We just finished paperwork and got to see her. She’s a beauty. Because service is closed on Sunday’s we will pick up tomorrow. Here is a photo of the color though. Azure Grey Metallic is gorgeous! Thanks to all here who were helpful and welcoming! Will post more photos after we pick up.

I also ordered the XLT model without the powered tailgate package. The assist is a piston to slow the tailgate when it opens to keep it from banging open. It is listed as an option on my Window Sticker.

I definitely do not have the piston, tailgate is completely unassisted. Have the option on my window sticker. Grrrrrrr.

Every lightning review video I’ve watched show the tailgate is not assist however it’s mentioned that it’s lighter to lift up to close maybe that is what Ford meant?

Can someone who has taken delivery please post a photo of your frunk cargo net please? I checked today and there was only a frunk mat in there. I want to be sure we receive everything we are supposed to tomorrow when I take delivery. We have a Lariat trim. Thanks!

Dealer informed me the frunk cargo net is on backorder for at least a couple weeks. That might explain so many of our trucks missing them.

and now I have entered the "I don't know when it's going to ship" category.....estimate delivery date hasn't updated from 1/7 to 1/13 and I'm on ramp 59...here's hoping to see some movement soon.

I have to be honest, could not wait to get out of the office today and just go for a ride. It is just a fun truck to drive. Funny to get the wave from other Ford drivers that see what it is. I have yet to see one other Lightning ”in the wild”

A little nervous about my first road trip but that is later next month.
