What's the farthest you've gone on a single charge?

I just did a 600 mile trip in my Rivian R1T that only required 1 stop to charge and have been looking to get back into a F-150 Lightning ER. That got me thinking, would I come close to that in the Lightning? On my Lightning Pro, I got a little over 200 miles out of a 100% charge in Aug in the NE. On an ER I'm thinking the would project out to be roughly 268 miles.

Rules of the thread, please try to include the details as this heavily affects the distance. (ie, the same vehicle below normally avg 250-260mi max) Indicate the actual miles travelled, you can indicate the projected as an addition or miles displayed on the GoM but the actuals are the important piece here.

- Avg Speed ~68mph per trip odo, max trip speed of 85mph
- Payload: Driver Only
- Tonneau Cover Closed

- Heated Seats/Steering Wheel: Off
- Outside temp: 33-48F / Clear & Sunny
- Preconditioned & charged to 100% prior to leaving

Starting Projected Range: 333 miles
Total Travelled distance: 304 miles
Remaining Charge: 5%, 17 miles
GoM Accuracy: ~96%

Doesn’t exclude you from details! I’m going to need to know the humidity levels when you achieved 23. And was it 23 flat? Or 23.2miles?

I’ve gone 75 miles round trip on a single run so far… no problem for me.

Humidity levels varied between 52%-93% throughout the day (1/23/2023) as I had to respond to several situations at the Institute during the day. I rounded out the miles due to not caring about the ACTUAL miles I had to drive that particular day, which was the high point of miles driven between charges.

I took a 500 mile trip out to Baltimore last October. I went about 225 miles on my first leg, starting with 100% charge on an ER battery and the climate system off. It's kind of scary when the truck tells you that it's not in range of any chargers, even though I knew it was. I had the cruise on 72 and ended at my charge destination with about 9% left. I didn't do that on the way back. I spaced my 2 charges out better on the way back as to not scare the wife.

IMHO, you'll never get 600 miles on a single charge in Lightning doing highway speeds.

I’ve never driven a Rivian so I can’t comment on anything other than what I see on paper. With the price and the features taken away, I just don’t see a reason to. But hopefully you can do back to back sit and drive to decide. Good Luck.

I’ve put roughly 7,000 miles on both the Lightning and the Rivian so I have a pretty good idea of how they are. My preference is for the Lightning, just looking to go from SR to ER.

Watch Kyle - Out Of Spec videos on YouTube. If you don't put the Lightning beside you on the track you outlined you can't compare. Kyle has put the Rivian and the Lightning side by side, even with a load.

I see so many other differences in these trucks that if your only goal is the absolute furthest you can drive on a charge - you might want to go find a LR 3 or Y or perhaps other cars that I don't follow.

Not looking for other vehicles. The Lightning suites my needs. Just trying to get a real world sense as to what people are getting. I have a sense as to what my Lightning Pro gets, but not the ER.

Kyles tests are informative, but they’re only one use case. Just trying to get as many data points as possible.

ER model, 140 miles. 70 mph with some slowdowns, 60F, 20" wheels with road tires, 46% used. That's about 300 miles extrapolated.
I pre-conditioned and had about 300 lbs of myself and payload. Keep in mind that was a one-way trip. I don't recall if there was wind helping (or hurting). I bet I could take the Lightning well over 300 miles at 50-55 mph. At 80 it's more like 220-240 miles.

The insideevs 70 mph test was 270 miles. From what I recall Lightning and the Rivian are about even until 75+ where R1T really benefits from lowering the air suspension and going from four to two motors.
