I've gotten this error twice. Each time I had left the OBD dongle plugged in the port overnight or maybe two overnights.

It's also going to be like -35 with the wind chill tonight and tomorrow, so probably not a bad idea to have the LVB hooked up anyway!
Definitely. I believe we had -32F wind chill on Christmas Eve, but that didn't stop the truck!

Had this error yesterday, vehicle was plugged in as usual waiting for midnight to charge.
however the next issue is worse, I now have a red charging ring when plugging in and a AC charging error. Vehicle will not charge at home. Going to search and see if there's an existing thread for that. Vehicle will still DCFC so that's at least saving me for now.

Not sure if the two warnings are related at all or not. No one else seems to have linked the second one closely to the first error.

I have no issues with my L2 charger, but constantly get the error. Even after manually charging my LVB, it will throw those errors. There is some sort of drain happening on my truck…

I just started getting this multiple times a day. I also randomly get "Accidental Unplug" even though my charger is not plugged in.

This has been going on for the last few days.

The only 3rd party item I have is a truck bed light that my tonneau dealer installed (without asking *sigh*). Does anyone have any thoughts as to what fuse this could be? I'm thinking I pull it to eliminate it as a possibility.

Also sigh, why would they do that?

Experience with those type of shops would lead me to their wiring.

Firstly, check lvb connections and charge the lvb.

I would tend to agree. However this was done 3 months ago and it just became a problem now. Plus it started almost immediately after I got a PowerUp refresh.

What do you mean by lvb connections?

Loose clamp on the 12 volt battery behind the trap door in the Frunk.

Give this a day to resolve, it's likely an incidental hiccup from the recent power up.

Or not… I have been keeping up with the updates (installed manually), have disconnected the LVB, have reconditioned and charged the LVB… I still get the error 2-3 times per day, even when charging at night. And I have no after market stuff installed.

If the 12 volt battery is bad (shorted) , I would think it would cause the warning.

Have you brought your truck in for diagnostic testing?

Not yet. I know I should, but I’m concerned they may want to keep the truck for several days only to find nothing other than the LVB needs replacing. I suppose better that than some critical issue. I did see one person say they needed to replace the BCM, so who knows.

Well this has been going on for a couple of weeks, and the connections are firm on the battery.

Every day I get this warning plus the accidental unplug warning even though the charging cable isn't plugged in.

Maybe I should unplug the battery and reset the entire system...

Worth a shot.
Also Charge the LVB to full with a 10/20 amp charger until it's at 100% (green light on most models)
Attach the negative terminal.
Do the BMS reset routine noted earlier in the thread.
Manually close the Frunk, then test powered open/close are back to normal
Cross fingers that this resolves the problem.
If it does not, time to have a Ford technician look at your truck

The fine engineers at Ford had been remote diagnosing my truck with the help of a local dealer (ok, local dealer is not much help, I did some stuff myself with the help of the engineers). They think they found the issue - at least in my truck - but need hands-on to check it to be sure. That was before the layoffs, so not sure how long to resume the troubleshooting after the dust settles... hoping it's just an issue with my truck and not something bigger that might be affecting the rest of you on this thread!
