Ford Power-Up 4.2.2 Voice Feedback

I received 4.2.2 this morning after a short drive to breakfast, said it was a clean-up install to bring me the latest feature which covers the Voice feedback option in Sync.

Received 4.2.2 yesterday while on lunch break. Noticed my display switched to Calm mode but didn't notice any other changes.

After receiving 4.2.1.2 I realized my audio seemed to only be coming out of the forward center speaker. Basically it was super quiet. When I cranked the volume I could tell that there was also a small bit of sound coming from the back somewhere.
I checked the audio settings, and none had been changed.
I then, by chance, clicked Stereo (vs Surround) and magically it all came back to normal.
I then selected Surround it things are fine.
Minor. Odd. But worth knowing.

This has happened to me multiple times since I got the truck at least weekly so it’s not due to this particular update.

luckily I accidentally found the switch to stereo trick just like you cause for a few weeks I was powering down the truck!

Mine updated yesterday afternoon with the same explanation of it being a ‘clean up install’. Other than the voice feedback feature I don’t know that anything else changed

I was able to activate zone lighting, I had to view then back out of the instruction screen, app updates seem to reset the view marker for instructions on various functions and features.

Then I selected POWER, had to wait ~45 60 seconds for the truck to react.
Then I selected the lighting elements individually or all lights.
Then turned off the lights and turned off power.

Try clearing the app cache, force stop, restart, lock/unlock the doors, then retest the Zone Lighting feature.

Maybe I'm late to the party, but got this update today which included the new interface for me. Not a fan of the new icons in the top left corner, seems a step backwards design wise.

Do you realize one of those icon is the cameras? This is a feature most of us have been demanding. I don't get how icons are a step backward.

I just received 4.2.1.2 a couple days ago... So I guess my truck is behind. Decent cell signal and good wifi connection when parked. My other updates all came in quick and I never experienced any of the FordPass disconnects or any of that stuff. So I hope my 4.2.2 update comes in soon.

I've been anticipating the interface updates, but seeing the picture of the interface changes here in this thread I'm less excited to get them. Hmmm...

I'm not talking function, I'm speaking design. The icons themselves look like they're from a knock off iPhone. For my taste the truck icon was preferable, and I think they can do better.

For me, they're so off I wasn't sure if something went sideways with my particular update, just like we used to sometimes see the Mach E icon instead of the Lightning, like it hadn't finished booting and using the proper image. So I posted to ask if everyone's looks that way too

I noticed on my way into work this morning that I also have the new UI, however I don't have any notifications that I installed an update. When I checked the update menu in the truck, it says I'm ready to install 4.2.2 but it has not been implemented yet. How did I get the new UI then? I haven't tried and FordPass app features yet. I was also confused about the icons at the top for a little bit. I thought Android auto had taken over that portion of the screen as my first tip off was when it squished the map at the top when I went into the app menu. I don't like the map always being on and everything else being squished in the middle, is there a way to toggle that off?

Got 4.2.2 during when we ran into the city to get groceries (less than 30 minutes in the parking lot). It included the new UI with camera button. Pretty sure truck must like a cell carrier that is only present in big cities (AT&T etc). I like the new UI - less need to look at a screen while driving down snowy, twisty, rural highways in the mountains where we live. Almost wish we would have gotten an XLT with the physical HVAC buttons, but wife's truck and heated seats/steering wheel were required.

No, that's all android auto, it always launches over the top of Ford/Sync map, but what I do is bring on the Ford/Sync map back afterward, then leave AA as a background tab/card which I can call up to see it's integrated features (phone dialer, etc).

Once I got used to the Top icons for Home-Menu, Truck-Settings and Camera all was good.
