HELP! Dealer wont acknowledge Price Protection + Private Cash Offer

How exactly do they apply price protection though? Do they type in the Price Level 320 and the system spits out the correct pricing or do they physically have to just type up a sales document with the old pricing? I would imagine there has to be something they can click to auto generate the pricing at the time, otherwise if tons of things change pricing (options, D&D, etc) it would be a mess to type it all out.

They just sell it for the correct price. Their deal will show a negative until they receive the reimbursement from Ford.

UPDATE: Dealer finally acknowledged the $5K price protection. I basically had to mass message a bunch of regional managers on a certain social media site, and luckily one of them responded back and said they would forward my concern to the correct regional manager. Well the regional manager for the entire Washington DC - Baltimore area is who he forwarded it to to. That regional manager called my dealership directly and set them straight. I just got my correct Order Summary Sheet from the dealer today, using the DORA invoice from my order date, and then a $7,000 incentive at the end (was taxed on the $7k but whatever). what a huge headache.

so im guessing a dealer wont listen to another dealer, my dealer refused to talk to another dealer, they need to talk their regional rep. i can send a message to the DC-Baltimore rep for you, but i dont think you would hear back today. it might take a bit of time.

You may want to consider lodging a complaint with the Maryland AG's office. See the link for what they did to Koons earlier this year (press release includes phone number for lodging complaint).

Thanks for posting the memo! I'm hoping I won't need it, but more than likely I will. I'm still waiting to see if anyone has gotten the $7k private offer as well as the now $9k ($5k+$4k) price protection. I can't help but believe that the dealer will balk at selling me a truck for almost 30% below the current sticker price.

If you go through with the purchase and they made that clear to you...I think the only leg left you'll have to stand on is how they write up the paperwork. If they write it up that the cost of the vehicle is X and then ultimately in 45days the vehicle is not X...maybe you have a fighting chance. Hopefully the Rep has your back!!

The area rep for this area refused to do anything. The attitude is if we don't buy it then the dealer will mark it up and sell it.
