The wipers have to be on a least one click for the auto wipers to work. Do not forget to turn them off for the car wash.

Yesterday was the first time I really was able to test mine. Worked great as I went from occasional wipes while it was misting to fast and furious while driving through a monsoon.

One thing I do find annoying is that you need to shut off the wiper switch unless it's raining (set to position 0). Otherwise it will always do a dry wipe each time you start the truck. I had assumed I could just leave it at the intermittent position and if no rain was sensed on the windshield, nothing would happen.

While a physical problem may be your issue, I discovered the software problem.
Thanks to a reddit user.
In order for rain sensing to work properly, you need to make sure in all user profiles you have rain sensing turned on.
Supposedly if you turn in on for Guest, it will turn on for all.
I did my users, then guest, so I don't know.
What I do know is, having just tested it, rain sensing wipers now works.
Finally.

Wow, this works but it’s really dumb.

I took mine to the dealer because they were not working after multiple attempts to get them to work. I had the knob turned to the wrong spot.🤦‍♂️ Felt pretty foolish but in my defence, weak as it may be, the manual is not real clear on this.

So what am I missing here? 2023 Lariatt and my wipers don't start or stop automatically. I have no option in my profile or Vehicle configuration menu..... Banging my head thinking my 80k truck did not come with a basic feature...

Switch to your guest driver. Enable there. Then you'll be able to enable on your driver account.
No clue why it is this way.

I got mine to work by turning on at the stalk also, don't know if that is required.

I deleted my profile. no Auto wiper option on any screen.... How do I know if my Lariatt should have thus option? Not sure if it would be on the window sticker.

There is no need to delete your profile.
In the truck, switch to the guest user profile.
Select intermittent wipers.
Then they start working as they are supposed to.
Also - while for a few days the wipers did do a courtesy swipe on start up, that no longer occurs.

Thanks for all the replies. I really think is was not install in the truck. It's not available in any of the wiper options. All I have in the Sync menu and the Dash board vehicle menu is a the courtesy wipe capability.

Is this a return to dealer for repair or is there a way to find out if a lariatt standard range did not include this capabilty?

I did a quick review of the 2023 builder, Pro & Lariat-SR, nothing stated about wiper features or enhancements across the trim lines, I would think this is a standard option for just about all of Fords vehicles.

Have your service folks look at the situation!

You haven't tinkered with the forscan programming have you????
