Max of 125kW.
Is this a limitation of the magic dock adapter? Reason I ask is that I thought Telsas are still operating at 400v or less and they can pull up to 250kWs. What stops our lighting from maxing out?

From the Mach-E forum:

Magic Docks will be a bit slower for the Mach-E but only for the first few minutes. Then they should be exactly the same. The MD is limited to 350A max. Since the MME battery pack operates at roughly 350V, that's 350V * 350A = 122 kW max.

122kW is cool, but I wonder if the official adapter will be higher amps. Looks like Lectron and A2Z adapters is stating 500amp. I assume they are working off of some spec provided by Tesla, so maybe we can hope to get to 175kW with the official adapters.

Isn't the official number put out by Ford 150kW that our trucks are limited to? I know some have gone above that, but Ford doesn't even acknowledge it.

Yes, the truck should max out at 150kW, and probably does as far as what makes it in to the battery, but it would be nice to see the charger itself able to deliver a bit higher to account for the losses along the way, which is probably why some people see up to 170 on the 350kW chargers

Yes ER. Sounds like I can make it. I'll keep an eye on the GOM and battery % along with the EA app to see if Quartzite chargers are free. I'll stop if they are open and do a quick 15-20 min stop.
Just did the trip. Left Goodyear AZ area with 99% and made it to the Circle K chargers in Palm Desert with 20% remaining. Set Bluecruise between 72-74 most of the way. Nice to be able to skip Quartzite but still looking forward to the Tesla superchargers opening up on this route.

I wish I saw your post a day earlier as i’m currently posting this while waiting in line for the Quartzsite chargers. Only 2 of the 4 chargers are working and the line is 8 cars deep as the ones charging are charging to 100%. Definitely gonna take your advice when I come back.

I wish I saw your post a day earlier as i’m currently posting this while waiting in line for the Quartzsite chargers. Only 2 of the 4 chargers are working and the line is 8 cars deep as the ones charging are charging to 100%. Definitely gonna take your advice when I come back.

I did not know that, I will definitely look into it. The route from Palm Springs to Buckeye and vice-versa is absolutely hell for EV roadtrips from CA-AZ unless you have a Tesla or Rivian. Thank you for the tip!

I did not know that, I will definitely look into it. The route from Palm Springs to Buckeye and vice-versa is absolutely hell for EV roadtrips from CA-AZ unless you have a Tesla or Rivian. Thank you for the tip!
Trust me. I feel your pain. I live in Peoria and work in Palm Springs. The charging is absolute crap!

Trust me. I feel your pain. I live in Peoria and work in Palm Springs. The charging is absolute crap!
that’s a tough commute. I assume you can’t make it without a charge stop.
