Sharing some Ford EV news today regarding MY24 Lightning price adjustments and Mustang Mach-E incentives.

Lightning Pricing Adjustments

Ford are adjusting pricing, production, and trim packages to achieve the optimal mix of sales growth, profitability, and customer access to the IRA tax benefit. Pricing adjustments are part of balancing production with current customer demand. We have also lowered the price of the F-150 Platinum which has helped to compress the price range of the overall F-150 Lineup.

What you need to know:

• Pricing remains unchanged for MY23 F-150 Lightning models.
• MY23 Lightning Platinum is now eligible for $7,000 bonus cash.
• Customers who have already ordered a MY24 Lightning will be price protected.
• More information will be available on Ford.com on MY24 Lightning in early 2024 or customers can visit their local Ford dealer.

Mustang Mach-E Incentives

• Mustang Mach-E remains eligible for tax credits when leased or for businesses and state/local customers under the commercial tax credit.
• MY23 Mustang Mach-E is now available with $7,500 Red Carpet Lease Cash, when leased through Ford Credit.

Seems like Ford is taking advantage of the Cybertruck pricing and lack of Silverado production. I wonder what they will do when the Rivian R2 hits the streets.

People like deals, increasing the price will help to then advertise $5k off, while retaining margins. I agree with the previous post, the Lightning is the only EV truck around at a $60k price point, Ford might as well take advantage of this while they can.

Here's the F-150 Lightning cost breakdown from 2023 to 2024:

Pro (240 mile EPA-estimated range) from $49,995 to $54,995 +$5,000

XLT 311 A (240 mile EPA-estimated range) from $54,995 to $64,995 +$10.000

XLT 312 A (320 mile EPA-estimated range) from $69,995 to eliminated in 2024

Flash (320 mile EPA-estimated range) is a new offering for $73,495

Lariat (240 mile EPA-estimated range) from $69,995 to eliminated in 2024

Lariat (320 mile EPA-estimated range) from $77,495 to $79,495 +$2,000

Platinum (300 mile EPA-estimated range) from $91,995 to $84,995 -$7,000

Platinum Black (300 mile EPA-estimated range) from $97,995 to $92,995 -$5,000

The XLT and Flash trim models are expected to be the bestsellers, Gunsberg said. The Platinum trucks are the only ones that do not qualify for a $7,500 tax credit.

The manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) listed above do not include the destination and delivery fees, which range from $1,995 to $2,095.

Ford gave their math and marketing people a month to react to CT Pricing and apparently they felt they could squeeze more out of the bottom trims. Oct/Nov 23 was probably the best time to buy. Shame to see Mache E losing all rebates.

I got $5k off my XLT SR last week + will get the $7,500 on my return in a month or so.

I started looking in Sept and placed an order for one in October… once it got switched to a ‘24 I decided to just find one on the lot - so glad I did!

The Flash is the sweet spot spec. If I was buying today, I'd go with a Flash. That said, I love 23 Lariat ER. More than 17k miles so far and they're installing my heated steering wheel next week. Woohoo!
