I'm being told there are no SOBDM modules available anywhere in North America. Not good.
@Wildernesscoffee did you get your truck fixed up? Just curious what the lead time was.
According to Ford EV team it shipped Monday and is on the way to the dealarship. They had to find a spot in the production schedule and have one allocated for my truck. I talking with some other people in the auto repair business it sound like this is an issue on almost all parts due to the strike last year. Manufacturers run JIT on thier parts, so the strike really put them behind due to the limited inventory they keep. Lean mannufacturing is great for shareholders, but not so great for constomers when supply chains are dispruppted.

Call Ford EV team and set up a case. Ask for part to be expidited. They will create a case# and have someone take charge of getting the part produced and sent to the dealer. Dealer needs to ask for expadite on part as well. They have been good at communicating with me even though it is taking longer than I would like.

Update on repair: SOBDM Module arrived and is being put in right now. Funny enough the battery is sitting at 20% and has on lost 2% sitting for 30 days at the dealership. Not a bad loss for sitting that long. I just got a noitce in Fordpass that 4.2 succesfully updated. Must have triggered when the moved it in the shop to start the repair. It updated with the HV battery only at 20%. Hope this is my only major issue with this truck.

I called the BEV team and got nowhere. There is a different process for north of the border it seems. No visibility as to when the part will be available for my truck in Canada. Ford Canada Customer Service is supposedly working on it but it took multiple calls with multiple dead ends so far. We'll see how long it takes. Until then, I'm sitting on the sidelines driving as little as possible on DCFC.

On the upside, my dealer has been great so far. I asked them not to take the truck offline since the parts aren't available and there is no lead time. It's only been down for a couple of days for diagnostics and replacement of the port and harness (first attempt to fix)

It seems jobbers building the finished components are barely able to keep pace with scheduled production nevermind depot supplies for repair orders.

Recent article indicates more supply chain problems, apparently a common part that is used on Lightnings and ICE F150's, obviously not a charge controller, but you get the drift, things are tight, delays in supply logistics in some parts of the world are being felt.
I wonā€™t doubt what you note but how long do we give Ford, one of the worldā€™s largest companies to get heir supply chains under control.? All manufactures experienced this 4 years ago, but the others (Tesla for one if I have to say it) seems to have this firmly under control again for almost a year now.
There should not be any excuses for Ford.

I'm using McAlpine Ford in Aurora. They have been awesome through this. They did the 23B57 recall a few weeks ago for mine. It would be a bit of a travel for you though. I think 23B57 will also be sent OTA if I remember right.

So was here any hardware required or just software update? How long did it take? Local Parry Sound Dealer has a sister Dealer in Midland or I think Barrie or Sudbury are my options close to Britt.

This sounds comforting. šŸ˜¬ My 2023 SR Lariat just blew its onboard charger. I tried to charge several places with no luck. It started with my L2 charger at home. Each ā€œService Vehicle Soonā€ message was followed by a powertrain or four-wheel drive issue. Charger is on order, but now I wonder if itā€™ll come anytime soon. After seven or eight trips for issues and bulletins, now this (not including the charging issues I had in the first month, Iā€™m about to bail. Iā€™ve never had a truck in the shop more than this one. After 6 months, dependability is getting questioned. Itā€™s my work truck, I canā€™t hope to get a loaner every time this truck craps out.
