Here's the thing, all these tips about wifi, connectivity, battery state, etc...aren't going to do anything if Ford hasn't queued up the update for us. That's out of our control as far as I can tell. There is some suspicion that getting the CSB for the battery monitor done triggers Ford to start sending updates again. Which is really annoying, my LVB regularly reports 90% or better and I've never had an issue with updates not applying (except my first one which was solved by resetting the battery monitor). So now I wait for the part to come in so I can wait for an appointment and pray to the Ford Cloud that I will be blessed and once again able to get an update queued.

It's just a baseless supposition. I had my BMS replaced in January, but still had no updates since July. Before then, I was getting updates fairly regularly. I don't think anyone really knows why updates aren't coming for some of us.

@shutterbug That's a little discouraging. Perhaps the updates are regional? Yeah I'm grasping at thin air here to make sense of it. Ford can't be that disorganized, can it? There's gotta be something driving the decision to push updates out.

Ahead of me, I just got 4.2.1.2 a week ago! Sept 23 build Lariat ER
Ford's update schedule is odd, but I guess there must be a reason for it. I got 4.2.1.2 Feb 29 and then got another update last night. Not the Tesla use update, which is what I really want as I have an A2Z adapter.

For what it's worth to anyone else having this problem:

The Tesla update amounts to (in my mind) a *mandatory* update. They have publicized it. Everyone MUST be able to get this update. As a result, this should, over time, get everyone caught up to that level. And if a truck is logjammed (like one of mine), this will justify a trip to the dealer to clear the jam.
Can dealers to the updates?

I've been patient. It's been 242 days since an update for me.
My truck is a MY23 built in Dec22.
And you say 'getting them now', but some of us aren't.
We've been watching this forum and seeing update after update that others are getting, but we're not.

Have you had the Gateway Module Recall done? I have same December built ‘23. It took that recall to get my updates going. Since then smooth sailing.

There is. However, I think something is blocking them somehow. At any rate, yesterday I had the dealer apply "all available" updates. He said it that it took them 6 hours. Guess what. Just now Fordpass tells me that I have Power-Up 6.4.0 pending. So that may be the trick to get them flowing.

Incidentally, this emphasizes importance of having a dealer that is not a total dingus when it comes to service. Hat tip: Chapman Ford of Scottsdale. They aren't perfect, but they've done right by me and I appreciate that.

Yep, I just got it done last Monday (3/4/24).
I also spoke with the OTA team at Ford on 3/11 and they had me reset my Connected Services in the truck, and remove and re-add my truck to FordPass.
She said they don’t know why some trucks aren’t getting the updates. But hopes that resetting that stuff might “refresh” it.

Excellent tips, hopefully that breaks the log-jam.

I believe you can charge at the superchargers right now, just can’t use “plug & charge” and you’ll have to activate manually. I haven’t had the update either and they do show up when I click on charge assist in the truck and on FordPass app.

I've had my truck for 3 weeks and have received 2 updates. 4.2.1.1 last week and 4.2.3.1 today. I have it set to check for updates at 10 pm, and I have the truck set to charge for an hour from 10pm to 11pm.

I was stuck in no-update-land since getting the truck back in July '23. Low voltage battery always reported plenty of charge. Just never got a single update; not even a failed one. About three weeks ago, I had the battery sensor recall done. A week or so after that and I started getting updates about once a week. I'm up to 4.2.3.1 now. No guarantee yours will do the same, but I was in the same boat, but that recall anecdotally seems to really unstick things.

In the same boat… 23 Lightning Lariat SR purchased July 23, not a single OTA update since. Talked to the ford over the air team several times, they eventually recommended taking it to the dealer which I was finally able to get scheduled early Feb. Dealer had the truck 2wks, replaced the 12V battery and sensor under the recall program, reported that no updates were available.

I didn’t buy that so went the Mongoose and FDRS route… As soon as I logged in, I saw that 11 updates were available! Almost bricked it during the process as I was unprepared and did not have a battery charger connected with enough current capacity to keep it above the low voltage limit during the larger updates (hint-you need a lot of juice). Eventually got them all pushed through. It’s been several weeks since, still not a single update (or even a notification one is available).

I know it doesn’t really matter as the truck is fully functional, I just feel like something is broken and I need to fix it.

Similar here, just got the user manual one yesterday after getting first ever couple updates a few weeks ago...but all i really want is that battery % in the cluster!! well, that and apple maps charge routing, plug and charge update (guess i dont tneed that till the adapter gets here)...

ford sold me a truck that updates to add new features and since July 31 i have gotten no new features (that are of consequence as far as I can tell)!!

I too have been anxiously awaiting for the update that will put the SOC percentage in the cluster. I seem to get all of the updates, including the latest one for the Tesla charging system, I'm not sure why I still don't have the SOC percentage in the cluster.
