sw engineering manager,
Some additional info:
Was only the Dual Motor Cybertruck and tires not aired down the same as the Lightning.

But a Cyberbeast also lost to that lightning.

thanks for context. I don’t think they can go any bigger on those tires either. People will run the Tesla oem ones and claim they’re the best thing ever, but they’ll get owned all day long in the soft stuff

I saw that earlier, glad to see the Lightning showing a strong performance. Not really known to be an off roader like the R1T or how the CT is advertised, I like how capable it still is.

"No Way"

🙄

Unless its the Cyberbeast, this was the expected outcome.
At their power levels, would more power help if you have traction problem? Cyberbeast should just dig itself in faster.

Put paddle tires on both trucks might have resulted in the higher HP truck winning.

Aside from technical facts, image wise, CT always struck me as a piece of jewelry for ladies, R1T a toy for boys and Lightning a tool for men.

So....I'm the guy with all of the miles on his Lightning. And the truck has performed beyond my expectations. I've had to listen to trash talk from everyone telling me how bad my truck is, over and over. It can't tow, it gets terrible range, it can't do this and can't do that. Blah, blah, blah.

And now we have videos likes this.

I really wanted the CyberTruck when it was first rolled out. I thought "500 miles of range, awesome!" I put my money down. Even with all of the garbage you have to put up with being a Tesla owner that would make it worth it. Now that the CyberTrucks are out, the range is no better than my truck and it cost a lot more ($20k I believe) and it doesn't look like it is performing any better. On top of that I have the giant frunk which I use often, I have an enormous cabin (120v sockets everywhere) with the short bed in back on top of being able to leverage standard accessories from a series of trucks that sell 750,000 a year.

I give props to Chevy, the Silverado WT trucks have my attention. 440 mile EPA range, with a somewhat reasonable price. Though to get an equivalent to the Lariet, it is a bunch more if I understand correctly.

The only advantage the CyberTruck has over my Lightning is the SuperCharger network and that is about to be largely mitigated as soon as my adapter arrives.

oh, I forgot. You can shoot at the door panels with arrows and light handguns and you'll be protected. I'm friends with my neighbors so that really isn't a problem I have need of a solution for. sigh...

I haven't even mentioned the ~$20K in fuel savings (up until now) as compared to my equivalent Silverado.

Anyway, I'm just sitting here shaking my head.
