Yea got that part, what temp did you have the climate control set to missed that part.
Definitely limited air at windshield and floor. You hear everything from the passenger side. Need to check on the front vents but I didn’t feel a blast there.

I have a 22 Platinum and at 72 degree cabin setting I get too hot. Seems like something must be not be working properly on yours. I too live in PNW. If I start the cabin heat before I get in the car it’s warm inside within 5 minutes and I’m cranking it down to 68 to maintain comfort.

Something that I'm noticing from this thread is that you a lot of you really crank up the heat and here I am raw dogging it or going up to 68F (20C) max only when I need to defog the windows. :LOL:
When the Secretary of My Treasury requests a warm cabin, I oblige, though 99.98% of our travels don't require the frugality some may require to arrive safely & economically home.

Yeah, I'm merely trying to help others verify consistency with our operation so they don't think there is something wrong with their ride. It's not ever going to run like an ICE heater that's for sure. I can't make it blow my socks off but I've never not been able to warm up when needed, just more of an ambient feel.

I personally chalk it up to years of running my Volt exclusively in BEV mode. Imagine having access to only 10.4 kWh and max charging of 3.3kW AC in the early days with a relatively non-existent public charging network. I guess old habits die hard and compared to before, we're now fortunate to have bigger battery capacity and extensive DCFCs.

I drove the Mach-E today. It was appropriately toasty warm within minutes setting the temp to 72. After that I dropped it to 69 and I was still warm even though I was wearing shorts and a tshirt coming from the gym. Back to the truck tomorrow to test again.

I drove the Mach-E today. It was appropriately toasty warm within minutes setting the temp to 72. After that I dropped it to 69 and I was still warm even though I was wearing shorts and a tshirt coming from the gym. Back to the truck tomorrow to test again.
Interesting. My Lightning gets uncomfortably warm when set to 68, but my Mach is barely comfortable there. Of course I don’t have a heat pump.

My opinion is that If i have to be uncomfortable to drive my car, then I bought the wrong car.

Mine goes to whatever number feels comfortable for the day, which can be between 69 and 74.

I'm not using anywhere near the battery capacity on the regular though, usually between 10-50% depending on the day.

My Mach-E is a 23.5 which has the larger heater. Maybe that is the difference. For the lightning, did they pair the heat pump with a smaller heater than the earlier lightnings?

For the lightning, did they pair the heat pump with a smaller heater than the earlier lightnings?
We haven't seen any diagrams on the new HP system for the Lightning, would love to see an extract from MY 2024 service manual.

I have a December 2023 built XLT and I have noticed that when I turn Full Accessory ON my truck doesn't heat at all, even when the temperature is turned all the way up. When I start it, it takes a while for the air coming out of the vents to warm up. When I remote start it 15 minutes before leaving, it's barely warm when I get in and only lukewarm air is coming out the vents. Only after I drive for a while does it heat up. I'm thinking it has a heat pump even though it's a 2023. I'm also thinking the software/firmware isn't right.

I reached out to a ford directly about this, and was told this line..

"I do not see any Technical Service Bulletins or Service Messages regarding the concern, so it is not a widespread “problem”…. It may be what it is for now but the only way to know definitively would be with a diagnostic. If it does become widespread then typically a TSB would be released for the dealer’s reference."

Annoying that I need to go to a dealer to be told if heating is working as expected, instead of getting a direct answer from the damn company that built the truck..

I figured remote start was "Full Accessory", but it must be more because it energizes the HVB relays which you need to get the heat. Today I noticed that when the Lightning is plugged into the charger and I remote start it, it actually warms up nicely. The previous few remote starts were when it wasn't plugged in. Not sure why this seems to make a difference.
