hello

i am running into an issue ever since I was able to download the latest software 6.8.0

Specifically, I set my charging to 70%. Yesterday as an example, when the charge complete notification it says it is at 100%. Then when I turned the vehicle on it said 100%. Once I put my foot on the break to start the vehicle and drive it said battery was at 64%.

It has been consistent saying charge is at 100% both in the truck and on the app and when I try to fix the percentage slider on the app it will not recognize the change.

Is anyone running into this discrepancy between truck, the different displays, and on the app?

One last note, I just did another charge and changed the range to 80% and within minutes it says it charged to 100% but when I unplugged it, it capped at 64%.

Thank you

Did you have the high voltage battery [HVB] serviced recently, module(s) replaced?

Hi - yes I did. How did you know?
This is a symptom of a repair where the technician did not fully balance the replacement module to the rest of the pack, it'll catch up over the next several weeks, continue driving & charging, requesting the normal SOC you desire, eventually it should stabilize. If it doesn't after a month contact you servicing dealer.

I have the exact same issue since I had a module replaced last week. Since there is a pack balancing procedure for a reason, are there any potential issues down the road with not having done the proper balancing procedure?

I have the exact same issue - also recently had a module replaced. In my case I am set to charge to 90, the FordPass app says 100 after charging, but the truck shows 87 when I power it on.

I haven't read anyone report long term issues since this is all new, IMHO they loosened the procedures to allow the tech's to move the project to closure sooner as a way of dealing workload backed up in high volume workshops.

I suspect the technical team evaluated the minimum safe tolerances and rolled the dice. With an 8 year 100K warranty backing us up I'm not concerned.

I’m not concerned from a financial perspective, but I am concerned from a reliability perspective.

This is the second module replaced on my truck in under 11K miles. This time the fault happened when I went to top up my battery to 100% 2 hours before a road trip. If it had failed one charge later, I would have been 150 miles from home with my family and luggage in tow.

Since it seems multiple module failures is a thing, and since they seem to favor module replacements over pack replacements, I believe Ford should give those of us with module failures additional roadside coverage with unlimited towing and loaner/rental coverage for the duration of the battery warranty.

2 data points aren’t really a trend, but so far my truck has needed a new module every 5500 miles on average.

I know the Ford battery architecture is supposed to allow for module replacements, but the fact that a new module can throw off the BMS this badly and the dealers just let it ride is pretty worrisome.
