Well now, that may be as such, but as 35-year wildland firefighter I am trained not to believe in coincidence...
So, I will leave it to the contractors we hire to figure it out because I'm just a knuckle dragging, dirt face grunt with a shovel in his hand...
God, how I love this rain!
I also vote "Dirty".
I tried to charge off a Fire Camp generator 25KV (Mosquito Fire) as a test this last summer. As a Logistics Section Chief, it will be my task to charge vehicles as they come into an Incident Base. It did not go well. It charged the truck alright but would not except a DC...
Well you see, I was a bit of a captive audience as I had a speaking part in the meeting. But for 14 days we drove the heck out of that truck And it performed just dandy
We had no power for our McKinney Fire Firefighter briefing last week in Yreka, Ca. So guess what I did to save the day...? This truck turned a lot of heads in Fire Camp!
Historical note: "Camp Boss" was the old term for todays "Logistics Section Chief".
I see you have got mine! Sorry I did not log on. Fire traffic in Ca. has amped up.
The truck will go with me and guys and gals at fire camp will drool...
Noel, Jim here..
FYI only. My delivery week (7/4 - 7/10) has come and gone. My dealer says the it is in Richmond CA. and might come down to San Luis this week.
I hear you brother... SACBEE reports 3 dead when a Amtrak train on a BSNF line hit a vehicle at an uncontrolled crossing in the East Bay area yesterday. Puts my whining in prospective.
I have now lost sight of my truck. I have been monitoring it thru the UP trace line. It is on car TTGX995005 and has been parked at Blue Island for 11 days with a status of "Constructively Placed". Now UP does not list it at all. Any ideas on where it could have gone or how I can trace it again...
Mod,
I have summited the requested info for the tracker. UP still lists the truck as "Constructively Placed" in Blue Island since 7/16. I had to look up that phrase... Txs a ton, Jim
Discount or not It will still be a hit as I pull into fire camp this next month.
