VIDEO: Full Walkaround Wrap + Tint

TINT: Brutal summer in Florida had Window Tinting as a top priority. Decided on a shop using XPEL PRIME XR Black. They measured the existing glass tint from the factory for the back windows to make sure it matched up with the Front windows for a nice even look around. Also went with a 70% front window shield tint to protect the dash a little and help with glare.

LED Light Bar WRAP: Now the wrap ended up being a bit tricky for the shop I went to. Partially due to how new this truck is and them not having many forums or references to go to for the application. They started with around a 3.5mm thick vinyl that was giving them a lot of problems due to how deep the led bar goes back under the hood and trying to get full coverage plus handle all the angles. After a few hours, they told me they'd need a full day to get it right so I picked up my truck to bring back the following week. They found XPEL had a template online for our LED Bars but they (XPEL) had no feedback yet from any installers about the template. Long story short the product is better as it's an 8mm wrap BUT there are exposed areas all around due to the template design and limitations of some of the angles present. Overall I was happy with the final result and the amount of time the shop invested into getting this done as best they could. I know they ended up eating some cost due to the time and using the XPEL product but the exposed areas are mainly noticeable to me and knowing how it looked before, but it's 100x better than the OEM look and how much the light bar stood out on the Stone Gray color. If anyone is interested in additional angles I can add some different shots at night and other angles.

I tried to get my window tint shop to do the lightbar, but they passed after doing some reserach because how far the lightbar goes back, they thought was it was going to be too much trouble. Can you take pictures of the areas that are covered as much. I might call them back up and tell them about XPEL's template.

Also have the Stone Gray, the milk jug lights look comically cheap on it. I don't know what Ford was thinking. Going to pull my headlights and try to tackle this with a buddy who does vinyl. Sucks XPEL still doesn't have them figured out.

I like the look! It takes away that cheap plastic feel big time.

What % was used on the front windows to match the rear?

My tint guy started and decided the angles made it too difficult. Said best method is to take it out and spray it. Ford should have tinted it to begin with.

Your truck looks great.

I really like how your light bar turned out. I've wondered if the white light bar would end up looking extremely dated after a few years and possibly even awkwardly faded.

Are these the exposed areas you were talking about? I look forward to more pictures and with the light on. I think it looks great.

I like how the tint on the lightbar blends in with the grill and stone gray. Nice ride!

Do you remember the tint % used on the front windows?

Yes
I did xpel on hood (bikini cut), grill (I don't recommend), front bumper, mirrors, A-pillars and leading edge of the roof. My installer was/is very open to coming back and having him fix bubbles, etc.
I'm guessing since xpel is a wet application product vs "normal" wrap being dry, you can't do corners the same.
Xpel has multiple cut-outs on tough corners.
