Powder coating my Platinum wheels!

Hello Everyone . I've been searching the web for someone who has powder coated the Platinum wheels. The stock look reminds me of the old STX Wheels Ford had on their ICE F150s. The only all black wheels I was able to find where the matt black wheels that come with the all black limited addition package. I decided to powder coat my Platinum wheels to make it look similar to my old 23 Platinum. What do you guys think? I really like it and I'm glad Ford had the emblems and trim blacked out from factory. It's a cheap investment to change the appearance in my opinion. Check it out .

Hi Phil,
Yes I agree and thank you. I was able to negotiate 130 per rim which came out to 520. I just paid the dealer to dis-mount and mount the tires. The only problem was the truck being on their lift for a few days...lol. I think it was worth it, they look more luxurious in my opinion. I'm happy with the results.

I think they look a lot better with the powder coating; nice choice. Makes an especially great difference with the big wheels. I wouldn't call that a cheap investment, but then again, I'm an XLT proletarian.

It is a personal choice. I am glad that you are happy with the redone wheels. FWIW, I was one of the people who bought stock 22" takeoffs to replace my brand new 20" Flash/Lariat Black wheels. So there is always that option.....
