I printed them myself. I can share the file if you are interested. I'm also going to be carrying a few with me on my work travels so if anyone sees me at a charger, just come say hi and ill give you a pair for free.
I didn't have the B&O system, so I can't speak for the center speaker debacle. But I replaced all my door speakers and tweeters with some speakers I found on Amazon.
These for the front. and these for the rear.
Everything was plug-and-play, so installation was a breeze. A few days later, I also...
Working on printing a couple of these "Truck Nuts"
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6724947
I originally saw them on a Reddit post. I found an STL and edited it so it could be hung on a hose to look like it's wired up.
Went for a drive this morning. The road noise is probably quieter, but I can definitely say this. I won't ever hear the road noise now with the new speakers sounding so damn good! If you haven't got any sound-deading materials yet, I'd just swap the speakers out first and then decide. It's...
I can't really compare it to the factory setup because I did the deadening at the same time I swapped the speakers. I can say the doors sound different when I close them. Like the thump is deeper in pitch if that makes sense. I'll have to go for a drive down the interstate today with the radio...
It definitely does not interfere in any way. This is the first time I've had a sub in any of my vehicles for probably close to 10 years now, so any bass sounds good to me. But coming from that, I'm happy with the HS10. I listen to a little bit of everything, and the sub has really filled in that...
Well sounds like I still have some work to do! lol. I thought only the B&O system had them. I see them now. thanks for the clarification!
Nice. I'll definitely check this out.
I don't have factory tweeters, so I still have those sitting around. have thought about getting the A-pillars and installing them, but that's a project for another day.
Great minds think alike eh? lol. Yea I wasn't sure if I needed the LOC or not, but decided to get it for the peace of mind. Did you mount the sub in any way? I just have it sitting behind the seat for now.
I installed it behind the glovebox. The T-harness pigtail was long enough to reach from behind the head unit. This is going to make any tuning or troubleshooting I need to do much easier.
It is just sitting in front of the cabin filter. not really attached to anything so it can be moved easily.
Ive recently upgraded my audio and figured I might as well take a few pics and make a post about it. Maybe this will help others on the fence about it.
For this project, I replaced the front and rear door speakers, Added a sub behind the rear seat, installed a line output converter (LOC), and...
I also went this route, and everything was plug-and-play, and I'm very happy with the results. However, for future expansion, you would need the LOC with 2 outputs instead of the one on this one.
I upgraded my door speakers and added a sub this weekend. I got OEM replacement speakers by Powerbass and an HS10 sub by Kicker off amazon. Installed a LOC for the sub, block off plates, and sound deadening.
This took me all day Sat. It was mostly tediously placing deadening materials...
