Most annoying thing is that the Taurus and the Chev pickup were parked in the same area
maybe 5-6 dings on the Taurus
3 little new dings in the Chevy
(I only know they are new as the hood was replaced last year due to an “incident”, just a couple of weeks before picking up the new truck..
Now...
Middle of last month I was hit with a small but aggressive hailstorm in the middle of the night.
Son woke me and asked if I wanted to go cover the truck ( with what, I know not).
Damaged every panel except tailgate.
Requires roof replacement (which will most likely destroy windshield) and hood...
i drag a ladder out every time I wash the truck.
To get into the bed, place a step at the front of the box so I can get most of the roof washed. Then I drag the ladder to both front doors to get the rest of the roof and windshield.
still not interested in a gate step—more crap to start rattling...
I have them on my 21 XLT 4x4
I currently have no issues with them at all.
They are quiet and not rough riding
However, I am in south texas so inclimate weather or bad roads are not an issue.
Pretty sure they would not do well in my sandy back yard, but I have the old truck with lockers front and...
I think it would be cool to just add the front “parking” camera.
Im okay with stating that I have no clue where the front of the truck ends.
I don’t really use the the rear camera all that much ( mirrors to get where I need to be then the camera to “stop here”.)
Yep, me too, and rural on top of that.
But, I am a transplant, but have been here over 20 yr, so I guess naturalized.
works well for me as I am also not a social individual either
Ive pretty much commuted in a truck my whole life—distance was irrevellant..
My spouse used to commute 100 mi one way daily. I refused to get her a small economical punch crumble car. Reason for this is that after a 10hr shift at work, it was a good idea to have a vehicle that would not beat...
I opted for the plastic drop in.
Got one for the Ranger years ago, and was just fine with it.
Easy to wash out, things easy to slide in or out. Dent protection.
But, when I had to remove the bed for a fuel pump, I found that the squirrels used the tie down openings for acorn and pecan deposits...
Ford and Chrysler both have had these “provisions” on sales for quite a few of special interest vehicles.
I believe GM may have done this with the Camaro as well.
people were buying these and were promptly reselling at an exaggerated markup.
If I wanted a Demon, and had the means to pick up...
im by no means an expert on this, but I think Darrell has a valid poin—particularly if not pulling inline with your anchor (pickup)
but it also appears to me that you could fabricate another bar to tie to both of the reciever tubes and tie the frame horns together.
mount the winch (wench) to...
New anomaly this morning.
Daytime running lights and fog lights indicator no longer on
instrument display. I know the DRLs are on as I see my headlights when I come up behind someone.
Not sure about the fog lights tho.
later this evening I’ll check to see if the auto lamp, and fog indicators...
the standard mirrors are just fine for me considering the pickups of yesteryear had ridiculously small mirrors that were essentially the same as a base Nova or Torino. The only issue I have with the standard F150 mirrors is lack of vision on a particular type of hiway on-ramp.
Traffic on a...
This has happened twice since the first time—3x now under same circumstances.
The third time had a different result over the day.
I get to work way early and spend over an hour and up to 90min before I actually go into the building.
I spend that time as “Me” time, and read the tablet while...
Last December, some bozo cut left in front of two stopped left urn lanes right in front of me well after my light turned green.
Since all left turning cars had stopped, I focused on the right turn people coming from the side. I started moving forward as everything was clear, and right in the...
Do you have a dash camera?
My camera bings when I hit a bump in the road. It’s a bit too sensitive.
if so, perhaps the trailer is jerking the truck just enough to activate an incident in the camera
If it steers and drives fin, don’t worry about it.
0 camber is is optimal for tire wear but -1 degree is not going to do anything more than help you make right turns a hair faster before understeer happens.
A lot of newer vehicle have wheels that are not even close to 0 and it is obvious.
Ive...
Just sitting in the truck listening to stereo and display goes black.
Cycle key and get a “911 assist set to off”
Radio still playing, display is black “normally set at dark”
How is this reset?
Sitting in the truck listening to radio, and the display goes dark.
Still playing just fine.
Cycle key and get a momentary “911 assist set to off” and it goes black again
How is this reset?
