I don't know if they count pending reservations as conversions or just cancellations/refund requests but there is a metric for % conversions. denny@KMFord let us behind the curtain a bit on the "What are your dealers saying about Lightning?" post on how it affects allocations.
I don't think it gets there without some adjustments. Original pricing in June stated:
Base Lariat $67,474
Extended Range $7,000
Tow Tech $1,495
Max Trailer $865
That hits right at $76,834
ER was shown at $10k on the Pro and $7k on all the others by itself.
I think with the $74k cap the Platinum and really any $75k trim/option is going to be a hard sell for Ford. Lets say you can justify with options a $80k truck, that is going to be a $6k difference in options for Ford but a $18k swing in a person's spend w/o the tax credit?
There isn't much on...
There shouldn't be anything restricting you from sitting on your reservation, however, dealer allocations for the Bronco and Mach-e were impacted by order conversion % so if you have an outstanding reservation and don't convert to an order within the open order window you potentially could...
You can put it in neutral and it will push it along generating a small amount of energy but the regen over 200 ft won’t be much. Flat towing 100’s of miles will overvolt so many things.
POS would be really enticing. Two hypotheticals to consider. First if POS and demand is high still could we theoretically flip our order for a huge one time profit similar to the first adopters of the C8 vette? If I could net 15-20% ROI in the first month that might be enticing enough for me to...
I love all the hand wringing simply because Ford tells us everything already.
Orders begin Fall 2021 so sometime by December 21st order banks will open. Also from the FAQ we will be notified BEFORE they open, is that a week? A day? 5 minutes? I don’t personally know but we can probably surmise...
I've been puzzled about the original 10-26 date in the beginning just because the Drive Tour isn't complete till the 28th anyway. I would assume we will hear more on the 27th with the earnings call as 'Low Carbon' 'EV' is the buzzwords for activist investors right now so that will consume a...
That is not one they had a sample of, however, I spent some time with the iconic silver, antimatter, and carbonized grey up close and with the photos on my phone, changing the brightness and contrast/hue to get a good representation then flipped over to the ice blue tab, gives a really good...
We swung by the dealer one Friday, nothing available in the system like they had expected. We poked around the ICE trims on the lot to get a better feel for the options and trims. Plus they had a good selection of various colors in the new and used lot, Expedition with the antimatter which...
But there in is the problem. Let’s say you bank on the $7500 and spec out a lariat ER hitting probably $78k+ and congress passes this bill stating with the language that says truck price cap is $74k to qualify. You no longer get any of the rebate, not just the additional $5k being considered. I...
yeah, really hope pricing is fully vetted out soon too. This whole 12,500 tax credit change but might be restricted to vehicles less than $74,000/$80,000 has me all flustered.
Longtime lurker, first time poster. Just received a call from my reservation dealer (reserved during launch event, called them last month just to touch base and they said they will contact me when they have more info). Strange call today stating that the order banks open tomorrow in the system...
