I do.
I literally went from 100% to 0% just a week and a half ago. Running out did not cause irreparable harm, there’s a reserve and a buffer but not to the tune of 148kW.
What I learned running out is the cells may not be as balanced as I expected.
It’s just a GOM but mine never showed more...
Just got this going from 6.4.
Tested approach and walk away with the key fob and PAAK. No noticeable differences
The only thing I saw - and likely just me noticing it now - is that my puddle light turns off while the mirror unfolds.
Will check FORSCAN in a bit for error codes, the tow mirrors...
Should note, it’s not included but also not necessary on the lower trims.
My Pro is more isolated than my Lariat, I suspect the giant glass roof is responsible for the extra noise.
Or hold the charge to 90% instead of 80%.
I’m personally quite happy with the way the Lightning holds the curve up to 80% it’s less peaky than others. Just wish it would hold it for another 10% or a couple more Amps during that period either one would help quite a bit.
The R1T physically disconnects the rear motors. You can feel it clunk as it engages and disengages. This allows it to free roll. It makes a huge impact.
The Ford does not have the clutch pack to be able to physically disengage. It would experience a significant amount of friction and be...
Ford is just messing with us now.
I got a 6.2 and then a minor update - which was not 6.3. Then we skipped 6.4, 6.5, 6.6, 6.7 launched 6.8 and immediately skipped 6.9, 6.10, .11, .12. Now 6.13?
Someone in the software room just went “Hey Bob, check this out. Want to see f150lightningforum.com...
The USB only puts out enough to maintain the phone if you’re using it to do CarPlay, stream audio, GPS, etc.
If you plug it into the USB C it’ll full charge without any issues.
Son: I like my daddy's truck.
Teacher: Yea? What does he do with it?
Son: He picks up stuff
Teacher: What kind of stuff?
Son: Trash. It's a trash truck.
That's what my kid thinks of my truck...
"Work" can vary. So for me...
I use the bed more than I use the seats in the rear cab.
I use...
It’s not just the temperature. I’ve gotten low numbers in 50F and windy/rainy and 2.0-2.2 in 35F where it’s calm.
It’s the aerodynamics. 70mph is where I’ve noticed it gets exponential every mph faster I go. That gets amplified with the weather, significantly more so than any other EV I’ve...
Does that mean I can now make a joke about this?
Ford knew you weren’t always first on scene. Next time, push Bob out of the way and make sure you’re the first responder.
My truck drops to display the 259 (260) based on outside temperature. It doesn’t mean it’ll actually get that…heck I’ve never gotten the 320 it displays. That said, you can also get higher as it drops to 100 automatically in tow mode but I go further.
We call it a guess o meter for a reason.
My 2c…
You don’t want lightweights for snows. You want heavy weights.
The heavy weight will allow you to absorb any build up. If you go lightweight, ice and snow build up can throw your wheel out of balance easier. It can make for a very uncomfortable ride or even unsettling drive if the wheel...
They do, but even with that it’s suspect. The Rivian R1T numbers work out to a smaller battery pack when in reality the R1Ts pack is almost 5% larger in capacity.
I feel like having just ran my truck from 100% to 0% and being stranded when I hit empty, I should get a say about range….
and that something is…don’t run out of range.
The methodology matters a lot with our truck. 70mph nets me 2.0-2.1 in cold weather. 80mph nets me 1.5-1.6 in cold weather...
