https://www.kiplinger.com/taxes/605081/ev-tax-credit-inflation-reduction-act-2022-changes If you’re single, and your modified adjusted gross income is over $150,000, you won’t qualify for the EV tax credit. The EV tax credit income limit for married couples who are filing jointly is $300,000...
  2. Federal Rebate on 2023 Ford Lightning Rebate in 2022?

https://electrek.co/2022/12/19/us-treasury-delays-ev-battery-guidance-qualify-for-2023-tax-credits/ Dec 19 2022 — 7:16 pm PT US Treasury delays EV battery guidance, more vehicles could qualify for 2023 tax credits As reported by Reuters, the US Treasury Department has delayed its battery...
  3. ODDLY LOW BATTERY RANGE

We sometimes forget about the big Plus that ICE gives us during cold weather - Engine Heat. The Lightning has to replace that with Battery Power. The Screen I monitor during Winter is: Profile/Trip Energy/This Trip. % Climate % Driving %Accessories % Exterior Energy For instance, yesterday...
  4. Weathertech vs Ford All weather liner tray

Anyone have the Part # for the Ford Mats to fit Lariat ER (with carpet)(I would rather have the Mat with FORD Logo)? Also Part # for the F O R D Tailgate Inserts? Their order page is so cornfusing! I like other mats better but am trying to use up my 70,000 Points before Ford loses them.
  5. Ford 32 Amp Charging -= Real Life

Yes Sir! Agreed! :) I do know the difference but plead too many numbers, so little time, and way much coffee too early in the morning! (The same excuse I used to give my students) Thank you for kickin' my butt! ;)
  6. Ford 32 Amp Charging -= Real Life

I understand and appreciate all your great comments/corrections to my data but my post is more directed to the average Lightning owner who just wants to plug in and estimate when it will be done and how far he can drive. And how low he can run the battery and still have enough time to charge up...
  7. Ford 32 Amp Charging -= Real Life

I took delivery of my 2022 Lightning Lariat ER August 25th and after a 1,000 mile Break-In Road Trip in early September, I began charting my Charge Logs using the supplied 32 amp mobile charger under both 120 volt and 240 volt connections. My rural power is supplied by a co-op over old lines so...
  8. Lightning ER DC Fast Charge Deep Dive

I would like to see the same analysis done on a 150 KW Charger. Here in the Midwest normally EA Stations have only 1 350 KW to 3-4 150 KWs. Many of us only charge DC on road trips and because stations are hard to find I often start the charge at 40%-60%. My experiences (all at EA) mirror what...
  9. Sad Day Broken Mirror. OEM mirror replacement = $1,200! Less expensive options??

My Lariat came from Ford with the right mirror damaged as yours was. Apparently damaged as it was loading. The dealer said it was $1,500 plus installation and painting. (He and Ford are still fighting who covers the costs). A full replacement came in about a week. The problem is they come...
  10. 120 Volt Ford Mobile Connect Charge "Curve"

First, let me say that my driving lifestyle is normally a couple of short low speed local trips of less than 50 miles each per week. I just used up my once a year 1,000 mile road trip last week returning from Dearborn. I assume that the lowest possible charge rate is the most efficient and...
  11. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

Lariat ER Stock with Max Tow with current 1,800 miles on it after a month. Just returned from 1,000 mile six day road trip to Dearborn from KY. Averaged 55-60 mph interstate with one pedal and adaptive cruise as often as possible. Six DC EA Charges to 90% showing 300-315 Ranges which kept...
  12. Best Home Charger that isn't the FCSP

Deciding which charge box to buy will really depend on your own particular requirements. In my case (farm with no local WiFi) it makes no sense to buy one that is controlled by WiFi. And if it must be mounted outside it must be weatherproofed (moisture and temperature extremes). I have no need...
  13. Chest fridge for frunk

I am super happy with it overall. It gets down to the right temps quickly and I use it weekly to buy groceries and ice cream. I will be using it for a road trip to Dearborn in about a week. It is too tall for the frunk - perhaps the lesser quart model will work there. I carry it in the back seat...
  14. Chest fridge for frunk

The 55 qt is too tall. Have not measured the smaller model. But I think it is just about right for the bed.
  15. âś… 7/11/22 Lightning Build Week Group

Good News also. Dealer relented after my camping out in his showroom (did not have to resort to chaining myself to my broken mirror) and made an "Executive Decision" with some support from the owners. I bought the truck yesterday and took home and will bring back for installation of new mirror...

Broken plastic is part of entire black plastic that is attached to side of truck Note to Self: Watch out parking close to others at grocery store - that guy parking next to you may slam your mirror and cost you $2K.
  17. Financing the 2022 Lightning Purchase - Add Your Options

Just a Repost of an idea for those who plan on putting down some cash and you have a Ford Visa Card: My dealer will allow me to put up to $5,000 on my card (which I will pay off in a month or two when billed). This will get me 50,000 Ford points to use to buy Ford Accessories and Ford Visa...
  18. âś… 7/11/22 Lightning Build Week Group

YUP I should have snapped a photo. Broken black plastic piece right behind the mirror and 1" X 1" paint scrape. Otherwise mirror is fine - camera is fine and retracts fine. Apparently loader forgot to retract the mirror prior to loading @Ford.
