I like apple maps a lot and used it exclusively with Sync3. It was awesome looking up a destination on the way to the vehicle then having it start nav as soon as I started driving. However with sync4 for some reason I havenāt had that same experience and it also bugs me not being able to put...
Bummer. I like the readout on the knobs, to me it makes it much easier to check at a quick glance vs trying to find it in a screen and taking my eyes off the road.
The ambient light is nice but thereās so much power available in the console that Iām sure there will be plenty of aftermarket...
Interesting thing on the low oil level warning. I saw it in the widget, nothing in the ford pass app and figured I would check the truck itself. Starting the truck there were no alerts and as the last post noted the low oil alert went away. However physically checking the oil it is in fact...
That explains it! I had my alarm go off twice while using a rental trailer the other day. I had it connected with the adapter if that makes any difference and just figured that it was flaky but it was all securely connected.
In case someone stumbles into this thread, I think my solution is here:
https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/disable-wireless-carplay.2205/
Also side note: I absolutely love how customizable the user experience is with all these settings! However, sometimes things arenāt optimally...
Bummer. I have to figure out how to stop my phone from going back to wireless carplay. I donāt mind plugging in but every time I do when I watch the phone it disconnects from the hotspot and joins wireless carplay.
Is there any way to get the Pandora, iHeart Radio app to run independent of the phone? Ultimately I would like these to run using my trucks data plan (which is unlimited) vs my phones (which is limited).
Right now when i go to use them it tells me I have to disconnect car playā¦ so you gotta go...
A bug with camera delay:
The camera delay feature keeps the backup camera on until you reach the cutoff speed. I use to keep the 360 view up while adjusting in a parking space.
The bug:
If the front parking sensors detect an object close enough to trigger the front view camera it switches...
Yeah it helps and is better than nothing but it leaves you stuck with the rear camera on while moving forward instead of switching back to the front camera. At least the 360 view stays up.
Awesome thanks! That should actually help quite a bit, Iām going to look for it now. Hopefully it also helps keep the camera on while swinging into a spaceā¦. Iāve noticed that the cameras come on when the corner of the truck gets near a car but as soon as I slow my approach they immediately...
Pretty much the same but I fit with the license plate on with 1ā to spare front and back. Parking in the garage really wouldnāt be possible for me to do reliably without the cameras but with them itās actually pretty easy to get in consistently. I do seriously wish I had about 2 1/2 more...
Boy I hope so. I have a mid-late July build and it does not have the featureā¦. However, was ordered at the beginning of the year so not part of the build 2 group (where they added the scale, etc)
In trucks with park assist the front cameras will come on automatically if an object is detected nearby.
I do wish that they would come on sooner though as I have to creep up on something for what feels like a long time after itās out of my visibility before the camera comes on automatically...
If youāre sitting I donāt think you would have any less rangeā¦ once traffic clears you carry on and as long as you were in range to start with I bet you would still be in range. Itās not like it has to idle or anything and all the accessories are a small fraction of the propulsion current...
Interestingā¦. NextRadio seems to be the thing but you have to have headphones or wired speakers apparently as it must use those as the antenna?
Another solution would be a halfway nice portable radio (battery powered) with a headphone out you could plug in a bluetooth adapter too.
Ideally...
+1 on Sprayway. A friend of mine who owned a framing gallery introduced it to me years ago, he bought the stuff by the case. Also itās ammonia free so itās safe to use on coated glass (not necessarily relevant to vehicles).
I would check the tow guide. Thereās a lot of figures but itās just a chart in the end. You find your body style, engine and gears to see what you need. Itās arranged so itās easy to compare different gear ratios for an engine and max vs standard tow.
With a 5.0 and 3.31 locking gets you...
