Following up on this thread. My truck was at the dealership for 12 weeks with problem, after problem. Ultimately this issue was caused by a bad charging module but that failure caused a cascade of other failures. The communication from the dealer was close to non-existent. AppallingIy bad, to be...
Agreed. The expensive, new truck is now FINALLY on the way to a dealer to be de-bricked.
What I don't understand is why the gateway module would just go out without any warning. This would have been a REAL disaster if it didn't happen at home. Wish there was a way to know it was about to fail.
I proactively reached out to Ford on here, but their goal was to send me to a dealer that has mobile service (close as the crow flies) and then routed me back to Ford when they determined they wouldn't come out to were I live.
Also, FYI, codes from the cloud indicate that its a 12V battery...
Well, this mess continues. Ford road side assistance finally showed up and we, after starting with a fully charged 12V, could not get the truck out of neutral. Given where it is located that prevented them from getting it on a flat bed. So the wait to get this to a dealer goes on.
Really...
No apparent signs of mouse damage. I didn't remove wheel well panels but I looked everywhere and everything *looks in order*.
Just checked these connections and all seem secure. I also checked the grounding points on the Fram that I can see from the wheel well and from crawling under the truck...
Agreed. The challenge is that I live on a somewhat remote island and have had a Ford roadside assistance request in for 24+ hours with none of the contractors willing to come over here and pick the truck up. Total pain in the ass.
Several times. Every time the app comes back with an error saying the truck failed to start. I'm 90% sure this is due to the modem not being turned on - and the modem fuse is fine.
PAAK is dead - wont connect. I was able to get the FOB to lock/unlock the doors intermittently but that didn't seem to jog anything.
It feels to me like there is an issue with the relay that is triggered when you press the start button to trigger the HVB to turn on. None of those fuses appear...
Thanks all. As mentioned in my original post, I've read every thread related to 12V battery drain and not only disconnected the negative but removed both power leads and used a high end battery tender with a specific AGM setting to top the battery off to 100% overnight. I'm 99% sure this is not...
I've had no issues with my truck thus far (beyond failed software updated), but after driving it extensively on Saturday evening, it would not start on Sunday afternoon. The lights would come on but both screens were blank. I could not get the shifter out of park and there was a strange humming...
