Do you all remember the Internal Research project a couple years ago where my friends in another division had a M-it-M attack on Level 2 charging? Well, they are back at it on DCFC :p Please note that I was not involved with this project, so I can't say how successful they were, but the 1st...

I can't really go into our cell level testing that is entering its' 9 week (out of 20) but I do have a couple of comments.
First, I'm not selling. I'm approaching retirement, I bought the 8 year factory warranty, and I really love the truck...but doubt has crept in. I know my particular...
I lost a mentor recently that I held in the same regard as Dr. Goodenough, Dr Dahm, and Dr. Judy. He was a peer to these individuals, but not as well known. They held him in high regard and some of them were in the consortium just because he was the project manager. Bapi, as he was known...
Just got a call from my local GMC dealership. I am the #1 reservation for the Denali EV and am I still interested? It is expected on the lot in July. "Of course I am, call me when you have it on the lot so I can test drive before deciding."
Ok, it's $106k, I don't think we will have a mark...
This is another company I've been keeping my eye on for a while. Still hoping to get some of their cells in for testing.
While I'm not crazy about LFP, it seems to be where the market is shifting for low cost cells/packs. Just doesn't have the 'oomph' I love about NMC.
For all forum members that work at Ford dealerships, can I purchase a battery from you? While I have already benchmarked the truck (see https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/lightning-and-identity-theft.12185/post-265890) and I'm now testing the cells from an extended range pack...
Based on 'A' samples being sent to OEMs, I would say this technology just moved inside the '5 years out' window. For those that don't know what I mean, Fuel Cells were '5 years out' when I joined the Air Force in 1983. When I retired from the Air Force in 2005, Fuel Cells were '5 years out'...
Just noticed the ability to zoom in on an area in the camera. I do not recall seeing this before, but I've had no updates lately.
The camera system still sucks compared to my last vehicle! Come on @Ford Motor Company Company[/USER] If I'm trying to maneuver this beast into a parking spot...
So something was different this morning when I got into the truck...I kept getting that 3 tone sound nonstop until I turned on the truck, then got it 1 more time when I turned on the truck (normal)
What is it girl? Did little Jimmy fall into a well again? All you old farts will know what I'm...
My Wallbox 48A EVSE has died and needs to be replaced...I'm having to share my wife's 40A Wallbox EVSE that was installed at the same time.
What 48A EVSE do you own and what do you love/hate about it?
You might have heard me mention Dr. Goodenough before (and if you did, you immediately Googled the name to see if it was a real person).
Sadly, the inventor of the Li-ion battery has passed at the age of 100.
Professor in the University of Texas and a Nobel Laurate.
"Quietness. I mean you have...
I've run out of ideas on how to kick off the activation of an update I'm seeing. Today I reset the truck by disconnecting the LVB for about 10 minutes and then put it on a charger and then running the truck until torque (Android app) showed I was above 90% SOC on the LVB. I then set the OTA...
I have access to Oasis which allows me to see all the failed updates including 3.5.0 (once) and 3.5.2 (several in November). After disconnecting the LVB, I got 3.5.2 within a couple of days and 3.5.3 3 days later.
My question is if someone has a list of the OTAs I should be expecting...Are...
Silly question...does the truck come with a center console tray? I know I had to buy one for my 2019 Sierra Denali, but I just can't remember if I had to buy one for my 2017 F-150 Limited.
Since the 12 V lead acid battery seems to be the problem for most problems, how does everyone feel about mounting a battery maintainer in the frunk and having it run from a frunk outlet? I'm looking at this: AmazonSmile: NOCO Genius GEN5X1, 1-Bank, 5-Amp (5-Amp Per Bank) Fully-Automatic Smart...
Question for those that have the truck on hand (I already SHOULD have had it by now)...what is the width of the charge port cover? Is it at least => than 7.5"
And is the opposite side the same distance?
No fanfare this time, but the Lightning is the pace car for today's Cup race at Nashville Superspeedway. Currently in Stage 2 on NBC if you want to watch.
I recall a board member saying that the Rouge plant was operating seven days a week, but how many shifts are there? Should I stop looking for updates or activations after 5 EDT?
