  1. Ford Continues Alexa In-Car Rollout For F-150, Now Offering Personalized Voice Commands

I wish that they would sacrifice this "feature" to the chip shortage. I don't want this at all.
  2. Towing Specs Consolidated Document - Bumper vs. Class IV vs. Tow vs. Max Tow - UPDATED DOC v4

I have weighed my truck/trailer combo dozens of times at many different CAT scales, and can confirm that they round to the nearest 20 lbs. Additionally, since the scales are calibrated to weigh trucks that routinely carry 40,000 lbs or more, they're probably not tuned to precisely gage the...
  3. How long before Ford drops nav on the F150 like the bronco?

My understanding is that the Nav system is required for BlueCruise to function. Since BC is a technology that Ford is really trying to highlight (and after a number of previous setbacks), I think that they’ll try hard to keep it viable as long as possible, which means keeping nav (I think).
  4. Securing a camper to my f150

Are you looking for options to secure it from theft, or to secure it from shifting around?
  5. Forgive the newbie towing question... Powerboost vs Passport Ultra Lite Grand Touring

Respectfully, I disagree. I've towed my 6500 lb. travel trailer probably 30,000 miles with a half-ton (back and forth across the country twice, plus numerous other trips). It's perfectly safe, if you stay within the towing limits (all of them; not just max towing weight that all of the...
  6. Forgive the newbie towing question... Powerboost vs Passport Ultra Lite Grand Touring

Maybe. A hot plate is certainly possible, and as others have said, dual fuel water heaters and refrigerators are already fairly standard. However, changing over the oven/stovetop, outdoor grill, and heating system from propane to electric would be fairly large expenses if you're doing it...
  7. Forgive the newbie towing question... Powerboost vs Passport Ultra Lite Grand Touring

I agree with this. Travel trailers will work with half-ton trucks, but you need to be mindful of your limitations. Powerboost trucks even more so, because they're not eligible for many ways to mitigate a low payload, like the Heavy Duty Payload Package. A 35' trailer that is 6100 lbs before...
  8. Bed Rack above Tonneau

I've been looking at this one, but I haven't found as much discussion about it as the Retrax: 2022 Ford F-150 Tonneau Covers - Pace Edwards (etrailer.com)
  9. Question to Ford- Why can't you give us 2FA??

My concern is that, sometime in the future, some middle-manager with a responsibility for IT security decided to flip that switch to mandatory as a simple way to protect his own butt, and now the rest of us are saddled with having to constantly "log on" to our own vehicles, regardless of our own...
  10. Tow Tech vs Trailer Tow vs Max Tow packages?

If you get the Sport package, it comes with 18" wheels even with the Max Tow package.
  11. Detailed Information About Ford Ordering & Scheduling Process [Note: This Was Written During ICE-Only Era]

If your dealer is willing to share the Order Summary sheet with you, it's listed on there.
  12. Detailed Information About Ford Ordering & Scheduling Process [Note: This Was Written During ICE-Only Era]

If I recall correctly, X-plan is set at somewhere around 0.4% above the invoice price, right? (I haven't used X-Plan, so I'm just going from memory from what I've heard from others.) You should be able to get an invoice price from Costco (you don't actually need to be a member to get an...
