Truck is ready for pickup.
Six total recall items addressed including a battery module replacement.
I consider myself lucky. They had my truck for 16 days. Seems like this dealership is on thr ball. Now fingers crossed 🤞 another battery module doesn't go bad. I'm optimistic...
Update Feb-08
Went to Ford to get some stuff out of my truck. I talked to the tech that has been working on my truck. Here's what he told me.
They plug the car in and both he and Ford Central see and diagnose the problem together. There is some back and forth diagnosis going on. It was...
Update:
The Ford Recall department called me directly (unprompted) . They saw that my truck had this warning. They were unaware that the truck had been brought in for service. I Told him what had so far transpired and the dealership handling it. They opened a case for me and gave me a case...
I called Ford and got better details on what they are going to replace. Initially the service agent just said I needed a battery replacement. But the parts they actually ordered were:
- High voltage battery module.
- Battery energy control module.
These parts have been ordered but the agent...
I also have 2 Tesla 3s both early cars 2018. Neither has had battery issues. Before that I had a 2013 Focus EV then a 2017 VW E-golf. Neither had battery issues. I'm just hoping they diagnosed this correctly.
Typical driving is 50 miles one direction twice a week (In one location for 3 days then back). Highway driving at about 75mph. I always charge at home using my Ford station pro to 80% and let the range drop down to maybe 75 miles left before charging again. Occasional trip to home Depot.
My service agent didn't know the details other than calling it a battery pack. But I hope you are correct and it's just a module. I don't have a lot of confidence that the service department has much expertise dealing with EVs. When I asked the agent if they see this failure much he said "The...
After getting a "High Voltage battery warning" message when I started my truck one morning a few days ago, I had to have my truck towed to my Ford dealership. It was no longer drivable. After looking at it for a few hours they determined I needed a full battery pack replacement. I've had the...
I charge at home using my Ford station pro charger. I have a charging schedule setup to charge at midnight. It works reliably. But if I select the option on the Ford app to "Charge to 100% now" it stops charging within 5-15 minutes and goes back to the schedule. This happens consistently...
My truck has preferred charge settings to start charging at midnight (super off peek).
Today when I plugged it in, the charging station continuously cycles through some sort of communication with the truck. It only occurs when it is plugged into the truck. I've had the charging station for...
My Ford Pass app is no longer communicating with my truck. It still works as a phone key but does not show me the current charging level or allow me to configure the departure times. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app but the problem persists. My wifes app on her phone is behaving the same...
Is there any (email) contact at Ford corporate I can raise the issue to?
I've had my truck for a month and keep getting the runaround when I call sunrun.
