I'm In the same boat (20312) but the 1.7.1 update showed as failure before my update history got erased. I think I will go on in for service and see what happens. How bad can it be, It's already broken
The last sync version that showed on my screen was 20312. No version displays now and the auto updates option is greyed out. I have a service appointment in two weeks, does this TSB ( TSB 22-2117) apply to my situation?
Never thought of that. It would explain why ford says they can't update it and then someone doing a manuel update is able to wait it out and get the update to take.

Can’t tell you guys how much I appreciate all the advice. Almost makes me hope ford doesn’t fix it so I can take a shot. I keep a battery tender connected to my truck (I’m old and don’t drive as much as I use to) and have everything necessary except the Nano or Mongoose and the software.
Thanks. I have been following this thread since it started and I have printouts to take to the dealer with me. I was just waiting to see if Ford would fix the problem. I will see see what they say when I take it in thursday and then I will jump in with both feet.
Thanks for the reply. I understand that if I should update all the modules available for update but I was wondering if anyone has successfully updated beyond 1.71 using the FDRS software after it failed via fords OTA? Thanks again
Been following this forum since I order my 2021 f150 lariat in March of 2021. Truck was built on July 9th 2021 so job 1. Still on the original sync version 20312. According to the android widget, I am stuck on the 1.7.1 update. I have an appointment with Ford service on Thursday. After reading...
