  1. Forbes article on Fords adopting NACS

Assuming the ISO 15118 is used still, which it would be crazy not to be since Tesla claims to support it and Ford supports it today, it's all certificate based. SwitchEV/iso15118: Implementation of the ISO 15118 Communication Protocol (-2, -20, -8) (github.com)
  2. Wind noise?

yeah, the ventilated seats are super loud - I suspect in the ICE F-150 it's not noticeable but the Lightning is quiet enough that it's really noticeable.
  3. What is the maximum speed for the F150 Lightning?

    yeah sorry the Mach-E. Hypothetically.
  4. The IRS Is Making It Way Too Confusing To Buy An EV With Tax Credits

The joke is that TurboTax usually isn't really "right" until mid-March or thereabouts.
  5. The IRS Is Making It Way Too Confusing To Buy An EV With Tax Credits

(checks calendar) you've got about 6 weeks before TurboTax stops sucking for this tax year. ;)
  6. Interesting little UI thing pre-4.1.2 with the seat heat/cool settings with camera up

didn't say it was new, that's why I mentioned that is was pre-4.1.2. that said, I now have 4.1.2 in the truck and it seems to be everywhere now, not just with the camera up. The big-ass slider seems to be gone.
  7. The IRS Is Making It Way Too Confusing To Buy An EV With Tax Credits

The IRS Is Making It Way Too Confusing To Buy An EV With Tax Credits - The Autopian If you’re an electric car or plug-in hybrid buyer, you’ve probably had a hard 2022. EV buyers have had to contend with seemingly volatile pricing changes, long waits from manufacturers, and now, a...
  8. Bluedot charging debit card

Does anyone have experience with Bluedot (thebluedot.co) ?
  9. Interesting little UI thing pre-4.1.2 with the seat heat/cool settings with camera up

I happened to have the camera view up today, and while it was up, I went to change the seat heater, and I noticed something - rather than the big slider, the UI changes in that case to just be two little buttons, one for heat and one for cool, and it works exactly how I'd want - it's...
  10. Mercedes says it will build its own open charging network

https://www.theautopian.com/mercedes-to-challenge-teslas-supercharger-network/ from the article: Now, one of Tesla’s direct competitors, Mercedes-Benz, is doing exactly that. At CES yesterday, the German automaker—in the middle of a big EV pivot of its own—announced it will build its own...
  11. New efficiency record… lol

6000 mile ER range CONFIRMED! 🤪
  12. ElectrifyAmerica units starting to show "Charge speed requested by your vehicle"

yeah, that's my thought too. it also is proof that they haven't completely abandoned the units from a software viewpoint, for whatever that's worth (not much, admittedly).
  13. ElectrifyAmerica units starting to show "Charge speed requested by your vehicle"

I noticed this last night at one of my three EA charge stops with my Lightning that it showed a new value, "Charge speed requested by your vehicle": This was the middle stop; the other two stops didn't show this, so it's something mid-rollout apparently.
  14. Shifter stuck in drive

I'd put money on your 12V theory.
  15. Phone Audio (receiving) is extremely hard to hear. Anyone else?

What about phone volume (on the phone itself)? Is it turned all the way up? Also, have you tried a steering wheel button Sync reboot?
  16. Phone Audio (receiving) is extremely hard to hear. Anyone else?

might be a dumb question, but have you tried the volume knob while in a call? Nav volume is independent from main volume for sure, and I think phone call volume is as well. You can only change them while there is active output on that sound path, I believe.
  17. Driving and Charging the Lightning at -40F\-40C. A Real World Test.

I don't 100% agree with everything the OP states in that thread, but it's very hard to argue with the data collection, and the data appears to support the stated conclusions. It would be nice if Ford documented all of this - it doesn't feel unreasonable to tell us. I think Ford underestimated...
  18. Driving and Charging the Lightning at -40F\-40C. A Real World Test.

again using the Mach-E as a parallel, which I believe is reasonable, from early on there's been requests for things like preconditioning the battery when approaching a charging station. There's a long list of "things people wish were done to make the EV part better" that so far, haven't been...
