  1. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

A level kit and bigger tires which affected the range but it was already disappointing
  2. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

Exactly! This was something I mentioned to Ford that they should have done independent testing but expecting someone to go under the speed limit. I asked them it would be ideal to advertise rated highway range. The battery pack on the rivian and f150 are close in size. Yet F150 is bigger...
  3. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

There was a few minor issues my biggest gripe was the range. However the only thing “buyback-able” was the recall.
  4. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

They didn’t deduct them but the calculation was miles/120k * MSRP
  5. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

Nope as mentioned in the thread it didn’t get rated range since day 1.
  6. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

I would like to test your truck or if you could record a time lapse I heard of people being able to hit rated range but I never got close since day 1. I drove the truck from California to Kansas as soon I bought it and I was getting about 200 hwy miles.
  7. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

Yes most lemon laws apply where if you take multiple times and they can’t resolve it “lemon” regardless of the issue.
  8. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

Haha yeah I lucked out I was like wait loop hole also I did slow down sometimes I’d go 25mph on the fwy with hazards it happened in less then ideal conditions.
  9. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

Yes and no the truck didn’t always have those wheels. With factory wheels I don’t remember the total highway range but I was getting 1.5-1.6 mi/kWh. Down to 1.1-1.3 mi/kWh with the heavier wheels.
  10. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

Yeah in the extreme cold you are looking at 150 miles. Tested in a blizzard at 75ish mph -6f
  11. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

I don’t really know what determines salvage but when I sold it back. The wiper more was the only recall on it. It had that typical “air dam fault” as well but nothing serious was wrong with the truck. Range was less than expected by 30% max miles the truck would get in 75 mph highway was 200.
  12. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

You’d have to go in nice climate and drive slow I was not towing. This truck will only do 180-190 miles hwy range at 75mph. The lower the speed the more the range.
  13. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER for $56k seems to good to be true. What's the catch?

No major issues! Range GOM was the biggest flaw the truck didn’t make multiple routes and would run of out battery. Essentially, I’d go on a 200 mile stretch that the truck would say I’d make it with extra. Then as I got closer it would say “nvm” and run out of battery at about 198 highway...

  16. 2" level kit and 295/70R18 tires installed on Lightning Lariat ER

yeah there is some people reporting no rubbing on 35s but I decided to go the safer bet and go a bit smaller. For two reasons rubbing and range not sure the difference in range if I went even bigger than what I have.
